都内ペットショップで飼養されている犬及び猫の病原体保有状況を調査した.54施設において,犬364頭から糞便355検体及び被毛361検体,猫113頭から糞便111検体及び被毛112検体を採取した.動物由来感染症の病原体として,Campylobacter jejuni(犬糞便5検体),Giardia intestinalis(Assemblage A)(猫糞便2検体),病原大腸菌(EPEC O119:NM)(猫糞便1検体),皮膚糸状菌(犬被毛4検体,猫被毛4検体)が検出された.施設内に病原体が持ち込まれることを前提とした検疫体制の整備と,施設内での交差汚染を防ぐための衛生管理が重要であると考えられた.

食品等から分離した酵母について,塩基配列解析法と市販同定キット(API 20C AUX)の同定結果を比較した比較した.1)酵母84株の酵母についてrDNA2領域の塩基配列解析法による同定を行った結果,基準株との塩基配列比較により,全ての株について同定が可能であった.2)API AUX と塩基配列解析法の結果一致率は,種レベルでは57.1%,属レベルでは82.1%であった.3)API AUXと塩基配列解析法の一致率について,キットが示す同定確率を基に比較したところ,同定確率が80%以上では属レベル,90%以上では種レベルで一致する確率が高くなる傾向が見られた. また,塩基配列解析でCandida intermedia/C. pseudointermedia を示した株の一部は,API 上では同定確率90%以上でT. mucoides を示した.以上の結果から,食品由来の酵母の同定にAPI AUXを利用するには,キットが示す同定確率などを指標にするとともに,rDNA2領域の塩基配列解析法を併用することが望ましいと考えられた.

1986年から2015年の30年間に東京都内で発生した黄色ブドウ球菌食中毒事件由来株のコアグラーゼ型とSE型の推移を検討した.200件の事件から代表株1株ずつ検討した結果,コアグラーゼ型はVII型が前期(1986~1995年),中期(1996~2005年),後期(2006~2015年)と減少傾向にあった.これに対しIV型は増加傾向にあり,後期では最も多く分離された.
