본 연구에서는 환경오염 모니터링 지표종인 집비둘기(Columba livia)의 생체조직 내 중금속 축적 특성을 파악하기 위해 국가환경시료은행 자체 지점(한강공원, 함평공원)에서 채집된 집비둘기 시료를 분석하고, 집비둘기를 포함한 국내외 조류 총 17종의 연구 자료를 검토하여 분포특성을 고찰하였다. 유해 중금속인 카드뮴은 한강공원과 함평공원 모두에서 신장에 가장 높은 축적농도비율을 보였고, 사례와 기타 사례 34개 중 31개에서도 조류종과 상관없이 거의 대부분 신장이 축적농도 비율을 나타냈다. 납은 뼈가 나타냈으며, 기존 연구사례 30개 17개에서 뼈에 다음으로 신장(10개 사례), 간(3개 사례) 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 납의 주요 조직은 뼈라고 볼 수 있다. 아연은 한강공원에서 간에 함평공원에서는 보였다. 16개 13개에서는 간이 차지하였다. 이상의 결과 등을 중금속의 생화학적 축적특성(뼈 생성과정에서 납-칼슘의 경쟁관계, 흡착 단백질(메탈로치오네인)의 역할 등)과 관련하여...

집비둘기는 도시지역에서 환경오염물질의 생물축적 모니터링을 위한 지표종으로 알려져 있으며, 집비둘기 알은 생물 자체를 죽이지 않고도 생물축적의 경향을 모니터링할 수 있는 시료로서 유용하다. 하지만 유기 오염물질 축적은 잘 되는 반면, 납, 카드뮴 같은 특정 중금속은 저농도로 축적되는 특성이 있기 때문에 중금속에 대한 적절한 위해 대체 시료의 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 집비둘기의 세척깃털을 이용하여 중금속 축적 특성을 연구하였고, 모니터링 시료로서의 가능성을 검토하였다. 도시지역인 서울 한강공원과 농촌지역인 함평군 함평공원을 대상으로 2013년 4월~5월에 개체 포획 및 알 채집을 실시하였고, 생체 조직, 세척깃털, 알의 5종(Pb, Cd, Total Cr, Ni, As)에 농도를 분석하였다. 5종의 조직 내 보면, 납(Pb)과 카드뮴(Cd)은 나머지 3종(Total 비해 축적이 두드러지게 높게 나타났다. 특히, 납은 다른 지역 간 비교에서도 두드러진 농도 차이를...
