Snap25(S187A/S187A) mouse is a knock-in with single amino acid substitution at protein kinase C-dependent phosphorylation site of the synaptosomal-associated 25 kDa (SNAP-25), which target-soluble NSF attachment receptor (t-SNARE) essential for neurotransmitter release. mice exhibit several distinct phenotypes, including reductions in dopamine and serotonin release brain, anxiety-like behavior, cognitive dysfunctions. Homozygous show spontaneous epileptic convulsions, about 15% die around...
To elucidate possible factors affecting the incidence of high-frequency positive occipital sharp transients sleep (H-POSTS) and to investigate whether H-POSTS are associated with any specific pathophysiological conditions, we visually inspected on consecutive routine diurnal EEGs (2705 records) using our criteria for identification H-POSTS. were observed in 164 records (subject age: 7.9 83.2 years). The was lower subjects highly abnormal EEG findings. Female had a significantly higher than...
Abstract In order to elucidate possible factors that effect P3s task‐irrelevant visual stimuli (non‐target P3s), we made a normative event‐related potential study with button‐press tasks in four different conditions which two (the number of colors non‐target stimuli, and the shape stimuli) were manipulated without any change task nor target/non‐target ratio. The peak distributions (centrally peaking) significantly from those task‐relevant (parietally all conditions. amplitude P3 decreased as...
Purpose: To investigate the internal tempo of passage time in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), and to assess possible dependence on laterality interictal epileptiform discharges (IEDs).Methods: A verbal estimation task was administered 30 right-handed TLE whom unilateral IEDs were repeatedly observed scalp electroencephalogram. Results: Patients right side showed a significantly longer subjective duration one minute than did left.Discussion: non-dominant may interfere activities...
Changes in thrombin-antithrombin III complex (TAT) over a one week period studied 42 cases of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC); 19 treated with standard (or unfractionated) heparin (UFH) and 23 low-molecular-weight (LMWH). Closer examination short term changes TAT (determined 2, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72h after starting anticoagulant therapy) was performed ten DIC; six UFH four LMWH. In twelve the DIC LMWH, plasma levels decreased day therapy, no exacerbation observed for following week....
