Cutaneous features of hyperandrogenism in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) include acne, hirsutism, seborrhea, androgenic alopecia (AGA), and acanthosis nigricans (AN). However, the relationships have not been well known broadly terms clinical biochemical markers. The aim this study was to investigate metabolic parameters relation cutaneous characters women with without PCOS.This a cross-sectional retrospective including 186 PCOS 113 age-matched women. Acne grade, AGA, AN were recorded....

Aging-related cognitive impairment (ARCI) is rapidly becoming a healthcare priority. However, there currently no excellent cure for it. Cognitive-exercise dual-task intervention (CEDI) promising method to improve ARCI, while the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in onset, development, rehabilitation of ARCI. This study aimed investigate effects CEDI role regulation lncRNA NEAT1/miR-124-3p on caveolin-1-PI3K/Akt/GSK3β...

Evidence for the efficacy of cognitive-motor dual-task (CMDT) training in patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) and no dementia is still lacking. More importantly, although some studies on effect CMDT show an improvement performance, results are controversial, intervention mechanism function not clear. The main purpose this study was to analyze effects function, neuron electrophysiology, frontal lobe hemodynamics PSCI.Here we tested PSCI patients. Forty subjects who met...

Parkinson's disease remains one of the leading neurodegenerative diseases in developed countries. Despite well-defined symptomology and pathology, complexity prevents a full understanding its etiological mechanism. Mechanistically, α-synuclein misfolding aggregation appear to be central for progression, but mitochondrial dysfunction, dysfunctional protein clearance ubiquitin/proteasome systems, neuroinflammation have also been associated with disease. Particularly, neuroinflammation, which...

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has been shown to effectively improve impaired swallowing in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients with dysphagia. However, little is known about how rTMS affects the corresponding brain regions this patient group. In case-control study, we examined data from 38 PD dysphagia who received treatment at Beijing Rehabilitation Medicine Academy, Capital Medical University. The high-frequency of motor cortex once per day for 10 successive days....

Porokeratosis (PK), first described in 1983, is a chronic parakeratotic skin disorder. Clinical types include porokeratosis of Mibelli (PM), disseminated superficial PK, actinic (DSAP), facial and ptychotropica (PP). Dermoscopic images PK show an obvious annular margin with scales atrophied center.[1] Wood's lamp pictures present diamond necklace-like structure.[2] Gene mutations mevalonate pathway enzymes, such as kinase (MVK), phosphomevalonate (PMVK), decarboxylase (MVD), farnesyl...

Chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) can lead to vascular cognitive impairment, but therapeutic options are limited. Cognitive-exercise dual-task (CEDT), as a potential rehabilitation intervention, attenuate impairment. However, the related mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, 2-vessel occlusion (2-VO) in male SD rats was performed establish CCI model. The were treated with cognitive, exercise, or CEDT intervention for 21 days. Morris water maze (MWM) test used assess ability. TUNEL staining...
