The Gram-negative marine bacterium Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida (Pdp) is a pathogen responsible for pseudotuberculosis in various fish species, posing significant threats to aquaculture. Pdp employs strong virulence mechanisms, one of which the production piscibactin siderophore, plays key role iron acquisition from host. In this study, we evaluated ferrophilic properties strain EKL1 relation growth and biofilm production. vitro limitation significantly suppressed formation...

Five new oleanane-type triterpenoid glycosides (1-5), named scoposides A-E, along with one known bisdesmosidic triterpene glycoside, were isolated from the aerial parts of Cephalaria scoparia. Three prosapogenins (2a-4a) also obtained after alkaline hydrolysis compounds 2-4. The structures 1-5 determined by spectroscopic (1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS) chemical methods. antimicrobial effects evaluated against a small panel Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria.

Polymeric micellar systems are emerging as a very important class of nanopharmaceuticals due to their ability improve pharmacokinetics and biodistribution chemotherapy drugs, well reduce related systemic toxicities. While these nanosized delivery inherently benefit from passive targeting through the enhanced permeation retention effect leading increased accumulation in tumor, additional active can be achieved surface modification micelles with groups specific for overexpressed receptors...
