Tracheostomy is performed in patients with trauma who need prolonged ventilation for respiratory failure or airway management. Although it has benefits, such as reduced sedation and easier care, also risks. This study explored the unclear timing, technique, patient selection criteria tracheostomy trauma.
Open pelvic fractures are rare, but pose challenges for trauma surgeons due to their high morbidity and mortality. Generally, early death results from uncontrolled exsanguination late is related sepsis. Therefore, management of these injuries should prioritize hemostasis contamination control starting in the initial phase treatment.
