Nutrients imbalance particularly nitrogen (N) and zinc (Zn) is a major constraint for sustainable cotton production. Thus, we hypothesized that the combined application of N Zn may increase availability enhance productivity due to synergistic effect between these nutrients. Therefore, present field study was carried out two consecutive years explore interactive effects different rates (N0 = 0, N1 120, N2 160, N3 200 kg ha−1) (Zn0 Zn1 5 Zn2 10 on soil available Zn, growth yield traits crop....

Abstract Long-term different tillage system field trials can provide vital knowledge about sustainable changes in soil health indices and crop productivity. This study examined cotton productivity under systems organic materials. The present was carried out at MNS University of Agriculture, Multan to explore the effect systems: conventional (T 1 ), conservation 2 materials: control (recommended dose synthetic fertilizers; 160:90:60 kg ha −1 NPK), poultry manure (10 t PM), compost CM),...

Abstract Background Heat stress, next to drought, is one of the major constraints maize crop growth, development and sustainable yield in tropics sub-tropics, particularly arid semi-arid climatic regions. Hence, there a dire need explore strategies that alleviate adverse effects heat stress. In this regard, silicon (Si) an important plant nutrient which may support alleviating stress-induced damages by modulating defense mechanisms. The aim study was potential role Si for inducing tolerance...

Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is a sucrose-rich tap root crop, with its fresh containing up to 20% sucrose contents. Natural organic fertilizers can be good alternative synthetic fertilizers. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted for the optimization of different amendments i.e., farmyard manure, poultry compost, and biochar. After experiment, pre-optimized doses (farmyard 40 t ha−1; 20 biochar, ha−1) were evaluated production quality two diverse sugar genotypes. The repeated over...

Bactrocera cucurbitae, commonly known as the melon fruit fly, stands a formidable threat to global agriculture, particularly in cultivation of cucurbitaceous crops. The adaptability, high reproductive capacity, and broad host range B. cucurbitae make it persistent challenge for growers worldwide. Conventional control methods, often reliant on chemical pesticides, pose environmental ecological concerns, necessitating exploration alternative strategies sustainable pest...
