Abstract Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons well nuclei. As a future high energy nuclear physics project, Electron-ion collider in China (EicC) has been proposed. It will be constructed based on upgraded heavy-ion accelerator, High Intensity Accelerator Facility (HIAF) which currently under construction, together with new electron ring. The proposed provide highly polarized electrons (with polarization ∼80%) and...
Building upon the most recent CT18 global fit, we present a new calculation of photon content proton based on an application LUX formalism. We explore two principal variations ansatz. In one approach, which designate ``CT18lux,'' parton distribution function (PDF) is calculated directly using formula for all scales, $\ensuremath{\mu}$. alternative realization, ``CT18qed,'' instead initialize PDF in terms formulation at lower scale, $\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\sim}{\ensuremath{\mu}}_{0}$,...
In global QCD fits of parton distribution functions (PDFs), a large part the estimated uncertainty on PDFs originates from choices parametric functional forms and fitting methodology. We argue that these types uncertainties can be underestimated with common PDF ensembles in high-stake measurements at Large Hadron Collider Tevatron. A fruitful approach to quantify is view them as arising sampling allowed solutions multidimensional space. This applies powerful insights gained recent...
We study the impact of lattice data on determination strangeness asymmetry distribution $s_-(x) \equiv s(x) - {\bar s}(x)$ in general CTEQ-TEA global analysis parton functions (PDFs) proton. Firstly, we find that allowing a nonvanishing $s_-(x)$, at initial $Q_0=1.3$~GeV scale, PDF leads to CT18As fit with similar quality CT18A. Secondly, including CT18As\_Lat greatly reduces $s_-$-PDF error band size large-$x$ region. To further reduce its would require more precise data, extended smaller...
In this paper, we present a CT18 PDF global QCD analysis at leading order in perturbation theory. The LO PDFs is obtained within the general framework, along with two additional procedures imposed to improve quality of fit. We take $W$-boson charge asymmetry and inclusive single-top production LHC as examples illustrate implications PDFs.
We review progress in the global QCD analysis by CTEQ-TEA group since publication of CT18 parton distribution functions (PDFs) proton. Specifically, we discuss comparisons NNLO predictions with LHC 13 TeV measurements as well FNAL SeaQuest and BNL STAR data on lepton pair production. The specialized CT18X PDFs approximating saturation effects are compared CT18sx obtained using NLL/NLO small-$x$ resummation. Short summaries presented for special distributions fitted charm lattice inputs. A...

Parton distribution functions (PDFs) form an essential part of particle physics calculations. Currently, the most precise predictions for these non-perturbative are generated through fits to global data. A problem that several PDF fitting groups encounter is presence tension in data sets appear pull different directions. In other words, best fit depends on choice set. Several methods capture uncertainty PDFs seemingly inconsistent have been proposed and currently use. These important ensure...
