A new optoelectronic nose to monitor chicken meat ageing has been developed. It is based on 16 pigments prepared by the incorporation of different dyes (pH indicators, Lewis acids, hydrogen-bonding derivatives, selective probes and natural dyes) into inorganic materials (UVM-7, silica alumina). The colour changes sensor array were characteristic in a modified packaging atmosphere (30% CO2–70% N2). chromogenic data processed with qualitative (PCA) quantitative (PLS) tools. PCA statistical...

Abstract An increase of bone diseases incidence has boosted the study ceramic biomaterials as potential osteo‐inductive scaffolds. In particular, mesoporous bioactive glasses have demonstrated to possess a broad application in regeneration field, due their osteo‐regenerative capability and ability release drugs from structure. These special features been studied an option fight against infection, which is one most common problems regarding therapies. this work, bioglass functionalized with...

This paper shows a method with which to create proprietary as-is 3D semantic thermal model of building and transform it into standard BEM formats. Geometric relational information regarding the essential structural elements (i.e., zone, ceiling, floor, wall, door, etc.) is, together their corresponding temperatures, first extracted from points clouds scene then adapted geometric requirements. Non-geometric properties concerning definitions envelopes, windows doors are also defined as...

In this paper, the building energy performance modelling tools TRNSYS (TRaNsient SYstem Simulation program) and TRNFlow Flow) have been used to obtain demand of a domestic that includes air infiltration rate effect natural ventilation by using window operation data. An initial model has fitted monitoring data from case study, over period when there were no heat gains in order change rate. After calibration, constant air-change was established alongside two further models developed...
