The influence of the texture, structure, and chemistry different carbon supports on morphological properties, oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity, stability porous hollow PtNi nanoparticles (NPs) was investigated. nanomaterials included blacks, nanotubes, graphene nanosheets, xerogel featured specific surface areas, degrees graphitization, extent functionalization. external inner diameters supported PtNi/C NPs were found to decrease with an increase in mesopore area. Despite these...

The electrocatalytic properties of home-made Pt nanoparticles supported onto WO(x) were determined for the electrooxidation a CO(ads) monolayer and compared with that commercial Pt/C having same particle size. By combining electrochemical spectroscopic techniques, we found Pt/WO(x) exhibit very high tolerance to CO at low electrode potentials (E = 0.1 V vs. RHE), which was never reported in literature before. adsorption E RHE on yields CO(2) production as observed by Fourier-transform...

Abstract Hydrodechlorination of 1,2‐dichloroethane on Pd‐Ag alloys was used as a test reaction in order to study mass transfer carbon xerogel supports. The selected supports were obtained from evaporative drying and pyrolysis resorcinol‐formaldehyde aqueous gels. Since the pore texture these materials can be tailored through adequate choice gel synthesis conditions, maximum size fixed at 10 × −9 m, 30 m (mesoporous supports), or 70 (macroporous support). One Pd‐Ag/activated catalyst also...
