Most information on bone-joint (BJ)-tuberculosis is based data from high-incidence areas. We conducted a nationwide register-based analysis of BJ-tuberculosis in Denmark 1994 to 2011.We linked the national tuberculosis surveillance system BJ-tuberculosis, hospital records, Danish Hospital and Civil Registration System. We identified 282 patients with 3.6% all cases (n = 7936). Acute infectious spondylodiscitis (AIS) is a serious infection of the spine with rising incidence and mortality 3-6%. The role immune system in AIS largely unknown. We performed extensive B T-lymphocyte phenotyping patients at diagnosis after treatment cessation. In this prospective multicentre study, flow cytometric analysis T B-lymphocyte subsets was 35 3 months additionally analysed levels immunoglobulins IgG subclasses, serum level genetic variants mannose-binding lectin, somatic...
