Colorectal cancers (CRC) with KRAS mutations (KRASmut) are frequently included in consensus molecular subtype 3 (CMS3) profound metabolic deregulation. We explored the transcriptomic impact of KRASmut, focusing on tumor microenvironment (TME) and pathways beyond The status KRASmut patients CRC was investigated overall survival (OS) compared wild-type (KRASwt). Next, we identified CMS, further differentially expressed genes (DEG) distinctive pathways. Lastly, used spatially resolved gene...

Stage 4 colon cancer (CC) presents a significant global health challenge due to its poor prognosis and limited treatment options. Tetraspanins, the transmembrane proteins involved in crucial processes, have recently gained attention as diagnostic markers therapeutic targets. However, their spatial expression potential roles stage CC tissues remain unknown. Using GeoMx digital profiler, we profiled all 33 human tetraspanin genes 48 areas within tissues, segmented into immune, fibroblast,...

Abstract Understanding the metastatic cascade is critical for treatment and prevention of cancer-related death. Within a tumor, immune cells have capacity to fuse with tumor generate tumor-immune hybrid (THCs). THCs are hypothesized be subset cancer enter circulation as circulating (CHC) seed metastases. To understand mechanism THC metastasis, we investigated CHCs in peripheral blood from patients stage IV colorectal (CRC), well tissues primary cancers their liver metastasis sites using...

Abstract Background The SARS-CoV2 virus has been identified in abdominal cavity of the COVID-19 patients. Therefore, potential viral transmission from any surgical created smoke these patients is concern especially laparoscopic surgery. This study aimed to compare amount and field contamination between open surgery fresh cadavers. Methods Cholecystectomy 12 cadavers was performed they were divided into 4 groups: approach with or without evacuator, evacuator. increased particle counts each...

Zenker's diverticulum is a rare condition caused by herniation of the mucosa at pharyngoesophageal junction, resulting in dysphagia. Third-space endoscopic surgery now plays an important role its management, facilitating precise with good outcomes. The aim report to demonstrate technical steps and outcomes per-oral myotomy (Z-POEM). We two male patients presented Esophagograms revealed diverticula 2.1 2.0 cm, respectively, diagnostic gastroscopy showed be 17 cm from incisors, tight, thick...

Abstract Background Single-incision laparoscopic colectomy (SILC) was introduced as a novel minimally invasive technique. The benefits of this technique include reducing number the incision and cosmetic improvement. Unlike conventional colectomy, majority previously reported SILC need to be performed using special curved or articulated instruments. purpose study is demonstrate our initial experience SILC, which could standard Material methods Retrospective review 14 patients who underwent at...

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy with common bile duct exploration (LC LCBDE) remains the preferred technique for difficult stone (CBDS) removal. The chopstick method uses commonly available instruments and may be cost-saving compared to other techniques. We studied outcome of LCBDE using determine if it could considered a first-choice method.Data from all patients that underwent January 1, 2012 April 30, 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Tracheoesophageal fistulas (TEFs) have traditionally been managed surgically, but the endoscopic approach is widely performed as a less invasive alternative. Different closure techniques proposed with inconsistent results. An over-the-scope clip (OTSC) appears to be reasonable option, long-term results not well defined. We report outcomes of complex case successful benign refractory TEF using an OTSC after failed surgical management and esophageal stent placement.

Peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer has a poor prognosis and is increasing prevalence. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy used for advanced tumors; however, surgery generally not considered metastatic unresectable diseases. Recently, conversion surgery, treatment which aims an R0 resection following chemotherapy, become novel therapeutic option with better survival rates. Objective: Sigmoid-type achalasia represents an advanced stage of characterized by significant dilation and tortuosity the esophageal lumen. Considering demonstrated efficacy peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) in treating early-stage achalasia, this procedure may offer alternative therapeutic approach for sigmoid-type achalasia.
