Motivated by the high-interest in increasing utilization of nongeneral purpose devices reaching computational objectives with a reduced cost, we propose new model for scheduling microservices over heterogeneous cloud-edge environments. Our uses particular mathematical formulation describing an architecture that includes machines can handle different microservices. Since any asks early risk-analysis solution, improved CloudSim simulation framework to be suitable experiment kind systems. In...
We successfully implemented laser beam wavefront correction on the 200 TW system at Advanced Laser Light Source. Ultra high intensities in excess of 10(20) W/cm(2) have been demonstrated. This is, to our knowledge, first 100 class combine simultaneously ultra intensity, 10(9) pulse contrast ratio and 10 Hz repetition rate.
Abstract In this work, a laser-produced plasma extreme ultraviolet source and free electron laser were used to create Ne photo-ionized plasmas. both cases, radiation beam was focused onto gas stream injected into vacuum chamber synchronously with the pulse. Extreme from spanned wide spectral range pronounced maximum centered at λ = 11 ± 1 nm while pulses emitted wavelength of 32 nm. The power density approximately 2 × 10 7 W/cm seven orders magnitude lower compared beam. Radiation fluences...
We report an efficient Cu K(alpha) x-ray source produced by focusing submillijoule, 120 fs Ti:sapphire laser pulses on a solid copper target to spot diameter of few microns. The experimental results show strong emission x-rays from targets microplasmas created p-polarized 0.2-0.3 mJ at 1 kHz repetition rate. have demonstrated point rates 6.7 x 10(9) photonss into 2 pi sr has conversion efficiency line 3.2 10(-5). measured size approximately 8 microm. Such high rate can be very useful for...
We report successful compensation of the thermally induced laser beam distortion associated with high energy 110 mJ and average power femtosecond system 11 Watts operated vacuum compressor gratings. To enhance laser-based light source brightness requires development systems higher power. Managing thermal loading on optical components is a key issue in implementation this approach. our knowledge first time that such distortions gratings are characterized compensated.
K-alpha x-ray sources from laser produced plasmas provide completely new possibilities for phase-contrast imaging applications. By tightly focusing intense femtosecond pulses onto a solid target are generated through the interaction of energetic electrons created in plasma with bulk target. In this paper, we present continuous and efficient Mo source by system operating at 100 Hz repetition rate maximum pulse energy 110 mJ before compression. The has an conversion efficiency greater than...
We are developing and exploring the imaging performance of, an in vivo, in-line holography, x-ray phase-contrast, micro-CT system with ultrafast laser-based (ULX) source. By testing refining our system, by performing computer simulations, we plan to improve terms of contrast resolution multi-energy a level beyond what can be obtained using conventional microfocal tube. Initial CT projection sets at single energy (Mo K(alpha) K(beta) lines) were acquired Fresnel regime reconstructed for...
Ultrabright and ultrashort x-ray pulses may be used for time resolved studies of phase transitions in materials potentially microscopy applications. Through the interaction high intensity laser (~100fs, 1015 -1017 W/cm2) with solid targets, temperature density plasma is formed on material surface. Electrons are accelerated multi keV x-rays generated when they interact target material. Such hot electrons produced from resonance absorption other nonlinear...
We report observation of laser beam distortion due to the thermal load associated with high energy (110 mJ) and average power (11 Watts) femtosecond system vacuum compressor. To improve laser-based light source brightness, it is crucial develop systems higher power. Managing loading on optical components demonstration brightness stability are key issues in implementation this approach. characterize such thermally induced distortions using wavefront measurements propose compensation methods...
