Abstract Recently, resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) had been introduced as an innovative procedure for severe hemorrhage in abdomen or pelvis. We aimed to investigate risk factors associated with mortality after REBOA and construct a model predicting mortality. This multicenter retrospective study collected data from 251 patients admitted at five regional trauma centers across South Korea 2015 2022. The indications included experiencing hypovolemic shock due...

Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) has recently gained popularity as an adjunct to resuscitation patients with traumatic shock. However, effectiveness REBOA is still debated because inconsistent indications across centers and lack medical records. The purpose this study was investigate feasibility by analyzing clinical results from a single center. This included 96 who underwent between August 2016 September 2021 at regional trauma center according center's...

The prevalence of traumatic abdominal wall hernias (TAWHs) after blunt trauma is approximately 1%. When TAWHs are accompanied by a Morel-Lavallée lesion (MLL), closed injury involving soft tissue degloving, affected patients become susceptible to severe infection, which necessitates challenging treatments. However, no guidelines regarding an optimal management strategy have been published. Here we describe the successful treatment TAWH MLL in anterior lower abdomen 66-year-old woman who...

Bladder injury is uncommon in blunt abdominal trauma. The can be life-threatening if not treated properly. Thus, timely and accurate diagnosis critical. Traumatic intraperitoneal bladder rupture (TIBR) managed laparoscopically patients who are hemodynamically stable.
