High-altitude platform stations (HAPSs) are expected to provide ultrawide-coverage areas and disaster-resilient networks from the stratosphere at around 20 km by installing wireless equipment on HAPS. Because their altitude is much lower than that of communications satellites, HAPSs can mobile services directly smartphones, which commonly used in terrestrial networks, such as fourth generation Long Term Evolution. Considering widespread nature broadband importance a backup line case...

Partially oxidized has been investigated as a cathode for polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). Catalytic activity the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) significantly depends on oxidation state of . and had poor catalytic ORR. The onset potential partially ORR maximum value 0.83 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode in at X-ray diffraction analysis showed that specimens, which definite ORR, both peaks. This result indicated an appropriate was essential to enhance

Abstract In order to commercialize polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) widely, partially oxidized transition-metal carbide–nitride (TM-C–N; TM = Ti, Zr, and Ta) have been investigated as new cathodes without platinum. The specimens were prepared by the electrophoretic deposition of on titanium plate heat-treated at 1000 °C under flowing 2%-H2/N2 gas containing ca. 0.25% oxygen. Partially Ta-based catalysts had highest catalytic activity, followed Ti- Zr-based catalysts.

The catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of , which was prepared by electrophoretic deposition and heat treatment in temperature range from 700 to under flowing containing 0.1% oxygen, investigated. solubility powder heat-treated at less than atmospheric conditions. This shows that had a high chemical stability an acid solution. ORR significantly depended on heat-treatment temperature, showed highest activity.

Background: The objective of this study was to determine whether pre‐operative heart rate variability (HRV) estimated using the newly developed MemCalc method predicts hypotension after spinal anaesthesia (SA). Method: Fifty‐two patients with American Society Anesthesiologists physical status I or II, aged 38–84 years, scheduled undergo elective transurethral surgery were investigated in study. Ultra short‐term entropy (UsEn) as a non‐linear index HRV before and SA method. then assigned two...

Background:Vascular calcification is a major complication in chronic kidney disease (CKD) that increases the risk of adverse clinical outcomes. Geriatric nutritional index (GNRI) simple assessment tool predicts poor prognosis elderly subjects. The purpose present study was to evaluate correlation between GNRI and severity vascular non-dialyzed CKD patients.
