Cisplatin, commonly used in a variety of cancer treatments, induces apoptosis cells by causing lethal DNA damage. Several repair pathways participate regulation cisplatin treatment, leading to sensitivity or resistance cells. polymerase β (pol β), key protein involved base excision repair, confers response therapy that is dependent on activity. Pol D160G mutation with enhanced activity, previously identified clear cell renal carcinoma, enhances the human and mouse xenografts limiting...
Sexual ambiguity commonly known as intersexuality, is a condition of imperfect sexual differentiation between male and female. The present study was aimed at analyzing the chromosomal abnormalities intersex subjects in Coimbatore city, India Of 30 cases studied, 10 them were genetically (46,XY) but phenotypically females, 8 female (46,XX) with maleness, 4 had 45,X/47,XXY, 6 46,XX/46,XY mosaic type 3 46,XY, del(Yq). results are discussed light recent literature.
Gold jewelry workers are occupationally exposed to nitric oxide (NO) during the purification of gold. The present study involves evaluations chromosome aberrations (CA), micronucleus (MN) and comet assay in lymphocytes identifies influence polymorphisms DNA repair genes (XRCC1280Arg/His, XRCC1399Arg/Gln) among gold (NO). Among 84 samples undertaken for study, non-exposed (categorized based only on age being group I <35years; II ≥35 years) subjects work duration) constituted 42 each. With...
