AbstractIn breast cancer cells, estrogens activate the Src/Erk pathway through an interaction of estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) with SH2 domain c-Src. Progestins have been reported to also this either via progesterone isoform B (PRB) ERα, which itself activates c-Src, or by direct PRB SH3 Here we identify two domains PRB, ERID-I and -II, mediating a ligand-binding ERα. ERID-II flank proline cluster responsible for binding In mammalian ERα progestin activation cascade are abolished deletion...
Natural fibre reinforced plant structures are widely used in nature. These combine light weight with superior mechanical properties. The orientations plants optimized to the occurring forces, especially bending of by wind forces. Therefore it is important study effect orientation properties materials a systematic experimental approach. In this reinforcement on bio-based lyocell-reinforced polypropylene composite was analysed. For purpose, special technique produce composites defined and...
Plant-based proteins are important macronutrients in the human diet, crucial for cell development our bodies and supporting immune system. Given their nutritional functional properties, plant-based excellent candidates of food. Among other things, cheese has been identified as a potential enabler future innovation through improvements ingredient technology. Unlike traditional dairy cheeses, cheeses made from variety ingredients such nuts legumes that can be fortified with nutrients also...
Abstract The food and beverage industry releases considerable amounts of wastes which contain natural dyes. Such could serve as a sources for the extraction dyes textile‐dyeing operations. brilliant yellow red colours from fruits vegetables is particular interest. Wastes, e.g. pressed berries, grapes, distillation residues strong liquor production, peels vegetable processing, have been extracted with boiling water test dyeings on wool yarn were performed. Colour strength, shade fastness...
The continuing importance of blue denim maintains indigo as an important vat dye industrially. In this review, we examine the various methods that have been used in past and are currently to reduce dissolve for dyeing. We discuss recent insights into bacterial fermentation technology, advantages disadvantages direct chemical predominated last century potentially cleaner technologies catalytic hydrogenation electrochemistry, which becoming increasingly important. With considerations...
Metal mordanting, or the application of metal salts, is a common method improving light fastness in dyeing with natural colourants. This review presents results from survey literature on mordanting to assess what levels correlation exist between mordant-induced effects (changes colour and depth) changes fastness, known about mechanisms improvements how salt used coloration processes compare limits wastewater dyed substrates. No strong interrelationships are found improvements. Knowledge...
Abstract Cationisation of cellulose fibres has been studied extensively as an alternative to permit salt free reactive dyeing, however chemical balances the cationisation reaction often are not taken into account. The consumption processes described in literature is substantial and over-compensates savings a conventional dyeing. Besides very high chemicals level generates problems uneven dyeings shade variations. In new approach low concentrations 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl- N,N,N...
Integrated safety sensors for personal protection equipment increasingly attract research activities as there is a high need workers in delicate situations to be physically monitored order avoid accidents. In this work, we present simple approach generate thin, homogeneous polypyrrole (PPy) layers on flexible textile polyamide fabrics. PPy of 0.5–1 µm were deposited the fabric, which thus kept its flexibility. The conductive are multifunctional and can act temperature gas detection corrosive...
Natural colorants could serve as a bio-based alternative for synthetic textile dyes. Most natural exhibit limited affinity to cellulosic fibres. As result only light shades are obtained and the efficiency in use of valuable plant extracts is low. By addition cationic polymer viscose spin dope regenerated cellulose, fibres with incorporated groups obtained. The presence accessible sites increases sorption dyes substantially. In dyeing experiments from canadian goldenrod, green nut shell ashes...
Abstract Eleven males with XLP were evaluated for EBV-specific antibodies during periods of 2 to 7 yr. Variable responses antigens found. All 11 patients had subnormal anti-EBNA titers, which probably reflected a T cell deficiency. The showed four different patterns in their anti-VCA response: 1) two boys who experienced malignant lymphoma mounted no at all; 2) intermittent titers; 3) persistently elevated and 4) three normal titers. ADCC against EBV-infected cells was abnormally low six...
