The effect of the properties starting boron powders on superconducting MgB2 has been studied. 92% and 96% pure produce lower surface reactivity larger particle size than 99% powder, as can be seen from Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results, indicating that low purity cannot used to archive same those samples made powder. However, improved by using a simple chemical process, leading enhanced magnetic critical current densities Jc. From x-ray diffraction (XRD)...

An investigation was conducted of the RF properties high-T/sub c/ superconductors over a wide range temperatures, frequencies and field amplitudes. Both bulk polycrystalline samples thick films on silver substrates were tested. At 150 MHz 4.2 K, surface resistances 18 mu Omega at low 3.6 m an 270 G measured. All showed strong dependence resistance field. However, no breakdown superconducting state observed up to highest achieved (320 G).< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...

Tin glycolate particles were prepared by a simple, one-step, polyol-mediated synthesis in air which tin oxalate precursor was added to ethylene glycol and heated at reflux. Hexagonal-shaped, micron-sized formed when the solution had cooled. A series of oxides produced calcination synthesized 600-800 degrees C. It revealed that micron-sized, hexagonal-shaped now consisted nanosized tin-based (80-120 nm), encapsulated within shell. XRD, TGA, FT-IR measurements conducted account for...

Abstract 300 M steel was developed from high-strength SAE 4340, the goal of this improvement get better toughness and weldability in applications requiring improved mechanical properties; with small changes alloy elements, addition vanadium especially silicon content. This work uses low-power laser CO 2 (125 W) for introducing carbon into surface bainitic structure. The microstructure obtained by isothermal cooling at 300 °C 60 minutes after austenitizing 850 °C 30 minutes; heat treatment...
