The preferential solvation parameters of indomethacin and naproxen in ethyl acetate + ethanol mixtures are derived from their thermodynamic properties by using the inverse Kirkwood–Buff integrals method. It is found that both drugs sensitive to effects, so parameter, δxEA,D, negative ethanol-rich acetate-rich but positive compositions 0.36 0.71 mole fraction acetate. conjecturable mixtures, acidic interaction on basic sites analgesics plays a relevant role solvation. more similar co-solvent...
Apparent thermodynamic functions, Gibbs energy, enthalpy and entropy of solution mixing, for methocarbamol in ethanol + water mixtures, were evaluated from solubility data determined at temperatures 293.15 K to 313.15 calorimetric values drug fusion. The was greatest the mixtures with 0.70 or 0.80 mass fraction lowest neat across all studied. Non-linear enthalpy-entropy compensation found dissolution processes. Accordingly, drives respective processes almost solvent systems analyzed.
The solubility of nimodipine (NMD) in several PEG 400 + ethanol mixtures was determined at five temperatures from 293.15 to 313.15 K. thermodynamic functions Gibbs energy, enthalpy and entropy solution mixing were obtained by using the van't Hoff equations these data drug properties fusion. highest value lowest all temperatures. A non-linear enthalpy–entropy relationship observed a plotof vs. energy solution. Accordingly, driving mechanism for NMD ethanol-rich is enthalpy, whereas 400-rich...
The thermodynamic properties of the 3-chloro-N-phenyl-phthalimide in acetone+ methanol cosolvent mixtures were obtained from solubility data report literature. was higher near acetone and lower pure at all temperatures studied. A non-linear plot ∆ up to x 1 soln H° vs. 2, Gerson G° shows a negative slope = 0.691. Beyond this composition, variable positive is with exception 0.121, x1 0.272 1= 0.356 which not common trend these systems. preferential solvation by components solvents estimated...
The equilibrium solubilities of the anti-inflammatory drug naproxen (NPX) in 2-propanol + water mixtures were determined at several temperatures from 298.15 to 313.15 K. Gibbs energy, enthalpy, and entropy solution mixing obtained these solubility data. was maximal φ1 = 0.90 very low pure all studied. A non-linear plot ∆solnH° vs. ∆solnG° with negative slope up 0.20 volume fraction positive beyond this composition mean temperature, 305.55 Accordingly, driving mechanism for NPX water-rich...
