We study the global stability of an HIV-1 model that takes into account Beddington-DeAngelis infection rate and intracellular delay denoting lag between time virus contacts target cell becomes actively infected. By constructing Lyapunov functionals LaSalle invariant principle, we show asymptotic infection-free infected equilibrium. The results imply steady states are always globally asymptotically stable offer guidance for developing new drugs to control HIV-1.
