Pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction is a common urological entity presenting with hydronephrosis and pain. Most commonly the causative factor being calculus in upper ureter or at PUJ. Xanthogranulomatous inammation is a rare form of chronic which characterized histologically by the presence high number foamy histiocytes with lymphocytes and plasma cells. It can involve any organ, but most common sites are kidney gallbladder.
