We use multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA), to study sunspot number fluctuations. The result of the MF-DFA shows that there are three crossover timescales in function. discuss how existence is related a sinusoidal trend. Using Fourier analysis, trend eliminated. Several chemo-drugs act as the biocompatible fluorophores. Here, laser induced fluorescence (LIF) properties of doxorubicin, paclitaxel and bleomycin are investigated. The absorption lines mostly lie over UV range according to UV-VIS spectra. Therefore, a single XeCl provokes desired transitions interest at 308 nm. It is shown that LIF spectra strongly dependent on fluorophore concentration giving rise sensible red shift. This happens when large overlapping area appears between emission...

We introduce a directionality index for time series based on comparison of neighboring values. It can distinguish unidirectional from bidirectional coupling, as well reveal and quantify asymmetry in coupling. is tested numerical model coupled van der Pol oscillators, applied to cardiorespiratory data healthy subjects. There no need preprocessing fine-tuning the parameters, which makes method very simple, computationally fast robust.

We investigate Markov property of rough surfaces. Using stochastic analysis we characterize the complexity surface roughness by means a Fokker-Planck or Langevin equation. The obtained equation enables us to regenerate surfaces with similar statistical properties compared observed morphology atomic force microscopy.

Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy and subsequent acoustic response during microplasma formation are employed to identify cancerous human breast tissues. The characteristic optical emissions Ca, Na, Mg rich species in tissues compared those of healthy ones. Furthermore, we show that the parameters microplasma, generated on unhealthy tissues, elevated. We report higher decibel audio signals emanating from laser a blueshift for malignant abundance trace elements as well plasma temperature...

In this paper, new photonic crystal optical filters with very unique characteristics are presented. The designed structures composed of stacked SiO2 isotropic dielectric slabs separated by monolayer graphene sheets. Defect layers nonlinear electro-optical polymer materials also inserted to behave as the resonant areas. Results obtained using transfer matrix method approach clearly reflect possibility wide band gap generation in absorption spectra proposed crystals terahertz frequency range....

We employ laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy to discriminate between normal and cancerous human breast (in-vitro) tissues. LIF signals are usually enhanced by the exogenous agents such as Rhodamine 6G (Rd6G) Coumarin 7 (C7). Although we observe emissions in both fluorophores, Rd6G-stained tissues give notable spectral red shift practice. The latter is a function of dye concentration embedded find that shifts have strong dependence on bare, stained healthy, malignant tissues,...
