Abstract Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is becoming a paramount analytical mechanism in nanotechnology and biological/chemical detection. However, fabrication of highly sensitive SERS substrates often involves expensive time‐consuming procedures the resulting materials require careful handling. Herein, simple‐to‐manufacture, sensitive, easy‐to‐handle substrate enabled by plasmonic nanopaper decorated with graphene oxide flakes reported. Owing to physicochemical properties...

This work reports continuous laser oscillation at λ=1064.3 nm room temperature in Nd:YAG planar waveguides fabricated by two different techniques: proton implantation with a multi-implant of energies around 1 MeV and carbon single-implant an energy 7 MeV. Threshold powers 11 22 mW slope efficiencies 7% 9% were achieved the proton- carbon-implanted guides, respectively. The outputs show very high stability operating cw regime temperature.

This work reports continuous laser oscillation around 1.3μm at room temperature in Nd:YAG planar waveguides fabricated by MeV proton implantation. The performance of the waveguide lasers with different implantation parameters has been studied terms threshold pump powers and slope efficiencies. These results have compared those obtained operating a wavelength 1.06μm, taking into account emission cross-sectional values F3∕24→I11∕24 F3∕24→I13∕24 transitions.
