A systematic investigation of optical absorption and luminescence is presented for Er3+ ions in the Bi4Si3O12 crystal. The intrinsic emission this crystal gives rise to a radiative energy transfer among host lattice ions. Measured oscillator strengths seven different transitions from ground state excited manifolds compare favourably with electric dipole calculated Judd–Ofelt formalism. Radiative lifetimes former states were determined spontaneous probabilities. ratio strength turned out be...

Most of the $^{2S+1}L_{J}$ multiplets ${\mathrm{Nd}}^{3+}$ ion $(4{f}^{3})$ in ${\mathrm{Bi}}_{4}{\mathrm{Ge}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{12}$ and ${\mathrm{Bi}}_{4}{\mathrm{Si}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{12}$ single crystals have been experimentally observed UV, visible, NIR spectroscopic regions. The majority Stark energy levels were identified for each multiplet, including some recently identified. In these crystals, ions substitute ${\mathrm{Bi}}^{3+}$ at sites ${C}_{3}$ point group symmetry. A Hamiltonian...

Salmon is the most commonly consumed finfish in United States of America (USA), and mislabeling salmon a widespread problem. Washington State global supplier wild-caught Pacific local results substantial economic, ecological, cultural impacts. Previous studies identified high levels mislabeled both markets restaurants, resulting legislation being passed that requires proper labeling products, including identifying it as or farm-raised. To investigate whether recent legislative efforts...

Optical absorption, photoluminescence and fluorescence decay time of in a glass were measured the 400 - 800 nm range. Under continuous (CW) laser excitation characteristics thermal lensing (TL) at room temperature, under resonant non-resonant conditions. Our results are analysed based on theoretical model for CW induced gaussian-beam approximation. The effects power input response TL explained terms properties host, excitation, coupling rare earth ions to local vibrations excitations. We...

The main spectroscopic properties of a new B-Te-Na-Si-Al:Er3+ glass are investigated. Judd-Ofelt (JO) intensity parameters (Ωt), the spontaneous emission probabilities, branching ratios and radiative lifetimes for each observed Er3+-ion levels were determined. stimulated cross section, fluorescence full width at half maximum (FWHM), Δλeff, Δλeff x σe factor, gain spectra Er3+-ion lasing...
