In this paper influence of alginate encapsulation on point zero charge (pHpzc) and thermodynamic properties the natural Fe(III)- modified zeolite were investigated. The pHpzc was determined by using 0.1000 g samples 50 cm3 solution containing KNO3 in concentrations 0.0001–0.01 mol/dm3 for initial pH (pHi) range between 2 12. obtained 6.2 (NZA) 6.5 encapsulated with (FeA). Influence temperature adsorption lead investigated different ions (180–3200 mgPb2+/dm3) temperatures 30, 40 60oC. For...

In present paper, the influence of initial pH and concentration Pb2+ on its adsorption by natural (NZA) Fe(III)-modified zeolite-alginate beads (FeA) was studied. Results showed that modification starting materials have a positive effect their capacities (102 136 mg/g for NZA FeA, respectively). After encapsulation, mechanism lead both adsorbents changed ion exchange dominates. The best achieved > 3.8. Cation capacity, structural properties, hydrophobicity samples were also determined,...

The surface topography analysis via fractals as a means of explanation composite materials mechanical and microstructural characteristics has hardly been reported so far. This study proposes method fractal its application to refractory bauxite concrete tribological investigation. Fractal dimension, profilegrams fast Fourier transform are introduced supported by the adequate software for analysing contours roughness, depending on observation scale also numerically horizontal lines intercepted...

The environmental aspects of waste building materials have been great interest in recent years. For the sector this means increased recycling, reduction energy consumption and natural resources preservation. This also presents an important contribution field protection. work deals with development pozzolanic mortars made materials, ground red structure bricks raw clay inadequate characteristics for production ceramic materials. Based on results historical mortar characterizations, a group...

There are many developed strategies in the emulsion stability evaluation, for purpose of determining life circle emulsions. Most them based on reological properties very few which relay direct observations. In this paper we present method evaluation by observation optical properties. As quantification measure propose fractal dimension approach. The is transmittance properties, directly dependent at moment measurement. test oil water was used. system classified as stable and our intention to...

The presented study is a continuation of the research with aim finding useful value hazardous waste slag generated by combustion lignite in heating plants and its application construction industry. different amounts cement (10%, 15%, 20% 25%) were replaced silica fumes mortars concrete production. Detailed physical–mechanical characterization was performed on mortar samples according to standard procedures. Test results indicated that replacement reduces physical mechanical properties...

In presented paper influence of the underground mining waste on environmental was investigated. From that point tailings and wastewater characterization performed samples taken from lead zinc mine Grot, Serbia. order to obtain experiments necessary for characterization, representative were three different parts tailings: outlet pipe flotation facility (JOF), hydro cyclone overflow (JHC) crest dam (JKB). Characterization tailing include: thermal (differential analysis thermo gravimetric...

Alumina/YAG composites (AYX_t) with high relative density (99.2 %TD) were successfully obtained by mixing commercial alumina powder different volume fractions of yttrium aluminium garnet (Y3Al5O12-YAG; 7, 14, 21 and 28). YAG was synthetized nitrate glycine reaction in the form precursor powder. Polycrystalline calcination at 950?C for 2 h. Additionally, compositions characterized XRD, SEM, EDX electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. By XRPD analysis found that particle size powders lies...
