In this paper influence of alginate encapsulation on point zero charge (pHpzc) and thermodynamic properties the natural Fe(III)- modified zeolite were investigated. The pHpzc was determined by using 0.1000 g samples 50 cm3 solution containing KNO3 in concentrations 0.0001–0.01 mol/dm3 for initial pH (pHi) range between 2 12. obtained 6.2 (NZA) 6.5 encapsulated with (FeA). Influence temperature adsorption lead investigated different ions (180–3200 mgPb2+/dm3) temperatures 30, 40 60oC. For...

In present paper, the influence of initial pH and concentration Pb2+ on its adsorption by natural (NZA) Fe(III)-modified zeolite-alginate beads (FeA) was studied. Results showed that modification starting materials have a positive effect their capacities (102 136 mg/g for NZA FeA, respectively). After encapsulation, mechanism lead both adsorbents changed ion exchange dominates. The best achieved > 3.8. Cation capacity, structural properties, hydrophobicity samples were also determined,...

This research presented, for the first time, results of successful application waste press sludges, WSLP (plant lacquer and paint) WSEP (powdery enamel plant), from a wastewater treatment plant generated during heating device production in construction industry. The characterization its influence on cement paste, mortar, concrete properties showed that this material could be used as replacement (with maximum amount 20%) producing mortar concrete. Although sludge does not possess pozzolanic...

Indigo carmine is a commonly used industrial blue dye. To determine its concentration in commercially available food dye composed of mixture indigo and D-glucose, this paper characterizes it through (ATR, KBr) FTIR micro-Raman as well UV/Vis clock: Briggs-Rauscher (BR) oscillatory reaction methods. The was detected the bulk only by applying spectroscopy, indicating low percentage present. This research provides an improvement deviations from experimental Raman spectrum calculated...

Nanopowdered Ce1−xYbxO2−δ solid solutions (0 ≤ x 0.2) were synthesized by a self-propagating room temperature synthesis. XRD and SEM used to study the properties of these materials as well Yb solubility in CeO2 lattice. Results showed that all obtained powders with fluorite-type crystal structure nanometric particle size. The average size particles was approximately 3 nm. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy for sintered pellets depicted it possible separate Rbulk Rgb interval 550–800 °C....

As a material for application in the life sciences, new composite material, geopolymer/CeO2 (GP_CeO2), was synthesized as potential low-cost solid electrolyte oxide fuel cells operating intermediate temperature (IT-SOFC). The materials were obtained from alkali-activated metakaolin (calcined clay) presence of CeO2 powders (x = 10%). Besides commercial powder, source ceria, two differently also used: by modified glycine nitrate procedure (MGNP) and self-propagating reaction at room (SPRT)....
