In this paper, raw natural metakaolin (MK, Serbia) clay was used as a starting material for the synthesis of geopolymers thermal treatment. Metakaolin obtained by calcination kaolin at 750 °C 1 h while geopolymer samples were calcined 900 °C, which is key transition temperature. activated solution NaOH various concentrations and sodium silicate. During controlled heat treatment, began to melt slightly coagulate locally. The high-temperature exposure (900 °C) caused significant reduction in...

This paper outlines the production of an inorganic polymer/geopolymer using a metakaolin by environmental friendly, energy saving, clean technology to conserve natural environment and resources. The influence alkali activation, i.e. different concentration NaOH as component activator mixture on process geopolymerization is investigated. Also, aging time geopolymer followed several analytical methods. structure based geopolymers their physicochemical properties were studied X-ray diffraction...

A promising method for removal of Cs ions from water and their incorporation into stable crystal structure ready safe permanent disposal was described. Cs-exchanged X zeolite hot-pressed at temperature ranging 800 to 950 °C fabricate dense pollucite ceramics. It found that the application external pressure reduced formation temperature. The effect sintering on density, phase composition mechanical properties investigated. highest density 92.5 %TD compressive strength 79 MPa were measured in...
