Based on mineralogical and technological investigations of the deposit 'Greda' important characteristics bentonite clay were determined. Representative samples characterized with X-ray diffraction, low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, chemical analysis, differential thermal analysis scanning electron microscopy. It was determined that main mineral is montmorillonite in subordinate quantities kaolinite, quartz pyrite. The composition generally shows high silica alumina contents all small...

Čumavići is a medium– to low–temperature hydrothermal Sb–Zn–Pb–Ag polymetallic vein–type ore deposit in the Srebrenica orefield, part of Podrinje Metallogenic District, Eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The occurs form simple complex veins along faults fractures, as well stockworks disseminations hosted within Neogene volcanic rocks (pyroclastics andesite lavas calc–alkaline affinity). comprises sulfides (sphalerite, galena, stibnite, pyrite, marcasite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, gudmundite,...

Organo-mineral complexes were obtained by treatment of aluminosilicate minerals (zeolite, bentonite and diatomaceous earth) with a primary amine (oleylamine) an alkyl ammonium salt (stearyldimethylbenzyl chloride). The modification the zeolite surface was carried out in two steps. first step 2M HCl. This acid increased its affinity for neutral molecules such as surface-active amines. second adsorption oleylamine on treated zeolite. Four types organo-mineral prepared their anion properties...

Samples of natural HEU-type zeolites ? clinoptilolite-Ca, from the Novakovici deposit (near Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina) were treated with hydrochloric acid various concentrations (from 10-3Mto 2M). Zeolitic tuffs before after treatment examined using IR, XRPD, chemical analyses. The changes in crystal structure samples showed a significant reduction crystallinity zeolitic (60?70 %), which effected by 1 M above.

Abstract Porous silica (SiO2) ceramic with a wood-like structure was prepared by wet impregnation tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) into biological template that derived from linden wood (tilia amurensis). After repeated pressure the subsequent annealing in air atmosphere at 800°C resulted burn out of and consolidation oxide layers. The products exhibit structures corresponding to negative replication templates. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infra red (IR),...

In the Serbo-Macedonian Metallogenetic Province, which is a part of Alpine metallogenic unit, ore deposits lie in number geotectonic units; they embrace Vardar Zone, massif, and small Dinarides. This province has been delineated mostly by reference to Neogene metallogeny, related predominantly granodiorite magma. These include most significant Pb-Zn Sb Serbia, as well smaller Bi, Mo, Cu, Fe, Sn, Au minor U, W Hg deposits. The Podrinje Metallogenic District belongs Province. Smaller provinces...

Based on geological, mineralogical, physical, chemical and technological investigations in the Tamnava Tertiary Basin near Sabac town (western Serbia), deposits of ceramic clays were studied. These are composed kaolin-illite with a variable content quartz, feldspars, mica, iron oxides hydroxides, organic matter. Four main types commercial identified: i) red-yellow sandy-gravely (brick clays); ii) grey-white poor sandy (ceramic iii) dark-carbonaceous iv) lamellar (?interspersed?) fatty,...

The mineral aschamalmite, of heyrovskyite-like composition, but different in structure, from the Rudnik Pb–Zn/Cu,Ag,Bi,W polymetallic deposit central part Serbia has been investigated. This includes over 90 hydrothermal and skarn-replacement orebody types, primarily hosted by Cretaceous sediments occassionally Oligocene dykes sills dacitic contact-metamorphic-metasomatic rocks. These rocks are host to an assemblage pyrrhotite, colloform pyrite, chalcopyrite, galena, arsenopyrite, native...

Coupled substitution of fluorapatite (FAP) crystal lattice plays an important role in the engineering optically active nanomaterials. Uniform nanopowders doped with praseodymium (Pr3+) and carbonate (CO32−) ions have been successfully synthesized by precipitation method under room temperature (25 °C). The structural, morphological, chemical optical properties monophase material were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Far Spectroscopy (FTIR FIR, respectively),...
