Abstract ‘Rauisuchia’ comprises Triassic pseudosuchians that ranged greatly in body size, locomotor styles and feeding ecologies. ABSTRACT Here we estimate the body mass of 10 iconic species extinct xenarthrans (cingulates and sloths) from Quaternary Brazil using two sets predictive equations based on postcranial variables. Our results revealed that one these methods is more reliable in estimating evaluated taxa, even though both provide accurate results.
