Highly enantioselective [3+3] and [3+4] annulations of isatin-derived enals with ethynylethylene carbonates ethynyl benzoxazinanones are enabled by NHC/cooper cooperative catalysis, leading to a big library spirooxindole derivatives in high structural diversity enantioselectivity (up 99 % ee). Both reactions represent nicely synergistic integration NHC copper which both catalysts activate the substrates chiral perfectly controls stereochemistry.

The effect of post‐space treatment on the retention fiber posts in different root regions was evaluated using two self‐etching systems. Post spaces were prepared extracted premolars and then canals subjected to one following treatments: (i) water irrigation (control); (ii) etching with 35% phosphoric acid for 30 s; (iii) 17% EDTA followed by 5.25% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl); (iv) ultrasonic agitation associated NaOCl irrigating solutions. dentin surfaces examined under scanning electron...

The bacterial flagellar motor is a huge bidirectional rotary nanomachine that drives rotation of the flagellum for motility. cytoplasmic C ring functions as switch complex rotational direction switching from counterclockwise to clockwise. However, structural basis and how assembled have long remained elusive. Here, we present two high-resolution cryo-electron microscopy structures ring-containing basal body-hook Salmonella Typhimurium, which are in default state constitutively active CheY...

The conventional method of cutting quartz glass with a knife often leads to undesirable effects, such as chipping, debris generation, and an inconsistent cut quality. Additionally, implementing the current methods laser ablation crack control presents challenges in ensuring both quality efficiency process. Previous reports have documented single direct thin glass, albeit at thickness only 200 μm. In this study, we utilized pulse-width-tunable Gaussian beam, combination axicon beam-reducing...

For conventional photocatalysis, the energy threshold rather than merely spectral response is always restricted that infrared part (48% of solar energy) has never been efficiently utilized, undesirably elevating temperature and damaging photon-to-electron conversion. It remains challenging to conquer IR-related contradiction integrate into Herein, we logically designed a Bi-induced synergistic photo/thermocatalyst (fluorite Ce1–xBixO2−δ nanorods), where coupled ionic conductivity...

The N2 photofixation presents a green and eco-friendly ammonia synthesis approach. However, present strategies for light-induced activation suffer from low efficiency instability, largely hindering the development of this technology. Herein, we report LaFeO3 co-optimization as well subsequent photoinduced protonation with further phosphate acid treatment. Efficient evolution rate reached 250 μmol g–1 h–1 over under simulated sunlight appropriate enhancement modified samples was mainly...

A palladium-catalyzed enantioselective carboannulation of 1,3-dienes and aryl iodides has been established by using a BINOL-based phosphoramidite ligand. This reaction proceeded via tandem Heck-type insertion asymmetric intramolecular Tsuji-Trost allylic alkylation, providing indane derivatives with high levels enantioselectivity (up to >99% ee).

Abstract To avoid the use of volatile organic compounds, a series betaine‐based deep eutectic solvents (DESs), which are considered as green solvents, were prepared for efficient extraction alkaloids from coptidis rhizome. The conditions optimized via response surface methodology (RSM) to achieve maximum recovery total alkaloids. A central composite design with three independent variables included concentration selected DES, time, and solvent/solid ratio at five levels, was applied while...
