Structural and morphological features of graft polystyrene (PS) polyethylene (PE) copolymers produced by post-radiation chemical polymerization have been investigated methods X-ray microanalysis, electron microscopy, DSC wetting angles measurement. The studied samples differed in the degree graft, iron(II) sulphate content, sizes PE films distribution polymer over polyolefin cross section. It is shown that all cases sample surfaces are enriched with PS. As content PS increases, its...
A new approach is proposed for simulating binodal and spinodal curves of phase diagrams binary polymer systems. It shown that the Flory–Huggins theory makes it possible to predict behavior in a wide range temperatures concentrations based on limited data components’ solubility. The approbation technique are presented example PS–PB PS–PMMA systems, which generalized constructed.
The phase state diagram of the poly(vinyl methyl ether)-water system in a wide concentration range was obtained by optical interferometry method. It shown that this characterized complicated equilibrium with two lower critical solution temperatures, one which located concentrated region at 21 °C, and other dilute 31 °C. In framework Flory–Huggins theory, pair interaction parameters were calculated for different parts binodal curves, an attempt made to reverse simulate conditions. suggested...
Qualitative and quantitative aspects of the formation various types phase structures, sizes compositions were considered. For studied polycaprolactone–epoxy resin/4,4′-diaminediphenylsulfone system, a diagram characterized by amorphous separation with lower critical solution temperature was constructed its evolution traced increasing conversion degree epoxy groups. A method is proposed for determining temperature–concentration parameters that determine type structure composite materials,...
Phase equilibria, interdiffusion and structure in the initial uncured mixtures of epoxy oligomer–polysulfone–alkyl glycidyl ether were studied. Binodal curves constructed on isothermal sections ternary phase diagram. Thermodynamic mixing parameters calculated spinodal plotted. The coefficients components, establishing technological modes determined. To validate diagram, mixtures, composition which at a temperature 40 °C corresponds to heterogeneous homogeneous regions, was
The solubility and interdiffusion of polystyrene (PS) with polymethyl acrylate (PMA), polyethyl (PEA), polybutyl (PBA), polyethylhexyl (PEHA) have been studied by the optical interferometry method. Phase state diagrams are plotted. It is shown that they characterized upper critical solution temperatures (UCST), which localized in temperature range above 450 K. Pair interaction parameters their dependences determined analyzed. Extrapolation dependence parameter was used to construct dome...
The development of universal finishing compositions for fibers various natures is an urgent task polymer composite materials science. developed finishes can be used the fiber reinforcement matrices with a wide range surface free energy characteristics. Epoxy systems modified diaminesilane in concentration were examined by optical interferometry, FTIR spectroscopy, DSC and sessile drop technique. It was shown that partial curing epoxy resin at room temperature under inert atmosphere, followed...
Abstract Data on the solubility of oligomer polystyrene and random copolymers styrene methyl methacrylate with different contents have been obtained. Phase diagrams were constructed values critical points determined. The upper solution temperature is localized in range above 420 K grows increasing molecular weight PS decreasing content copolymer. Based compositions coexisting phases, paired interaction parameters calculated their dependences plotted. dependence parameter copolymer...
Abstract The study of sorption and diffusion characteristics glassy polymers based on polyamide‐imides was carried out using the methods static sorption, dilatometry, electron microscopy. Water isotherms trimellitimido‐N‐acetic acid (PAI‐A) trimellitimido‐N‐p‐benzoic (PAI‐B) with different intramolecular ‘hinges’ in diamine fragment were obtained. are S ‐shaped occupy an intermediate position between polyheteroarylenes aliphatic polyamides. dual model used to interpret results. It is shown...
Electroadhesive systems are promising for creating delicate robotic manipulators operating both in the natural environment and space conditions. Using thermosetting epoxy resin, polyurethane polyester resin as examples, influence of polymers’ natures, potential differences current strengths on electroadhesive interactions polymer–polymer was studied. The investigations were carried out by recording force normal separation substrates from electroadhesives using contact contactless methods at...
