日本の道路事業においては、PI(パブリック・インボルブメント)が計画プロセスに導入されている。それに対し、中国では市民が交通計画プロセスに参加する機会が少ないのが現状である。本研究では、中国の大都市で交通事業の計画と建設について、PIの実施の現状を明らかにするために、現在建設中である天津都市快速道路の沿線住民に対してアンケート調査を行い、道路計画と建設プロセスのPIに対する評価と参加意識の把握を試みた。その結果、まず住民がこの道路におけるPI現状には満足しておらず、更なるPIが必要であると認識していることが分かった。次に、この道路計画において仮定した様々なPI手法に対して、説明会の参加意向が一番高く、オンライン方法が一番低いことが認識された。また、居住区域など個人属性が参加意識を影響していることが示唆された。
