The visible green and red upconversion emissions in Er3+/Yb3+ doped β-NaGdF4 nanoparticles were enhanced by tridoping with Fe3+ ions (0–40 mol%). XRD, XPS, ICP-AES EDS data demonstrated successful incorporation of NaGdF4:Yb3+/Er3+ nanoparticles. effect on the luminescence NPs was investigated detail. emission intensities 34 30 times, respectively. maximum observed a sample containing mol% ions. A possible mechanism for is proposed. In addition, layer silica coated onto surface UCNPs to...
A simple and efficient coating method of silver nanowires with uniform shells TiO2 has been established using 2-mercaptoethanol monolayers. The thickness the titania layer can be controlled by changing concentration precursor solution. In situ TEM thermal annealing studies showed that nanowire core remains intact until temperatures 750 °C, which is significantly higher than melting temperature bare nanowires. After this temperature, Ag were melted subsequently vaporized, leaving nanotubes....

Abstract Highly efficient, nonprecious and stable electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are absolutely crucial renewable energy conversion, yet design of such catalysts remains to be a long arduous task. Herein, cobalt phosphide (CoP) nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in hierarchical N‐doped carbon nanotube frameworks (CoP‐HNCs) have been synthesized by controlled phosphidation NPs (Co‐HNCs). The Co‐HNCs were prepared direct carbonization Co‐based zeolitic imidazolate...
The development of hydrogen evolution catalysts based on nonprecious metals is essential for the practical application water-splitting devices. Herein, synthesis Co9 S8 -MoS2 hierarchical nanoboxes (HNBs) as efficient reaction (HER) reported. surface hollow cubic structure was organized by CoMoS4 nanosheets formed through MoS42- and Co2+ released from cobalt zeolite imidazole framework (ZIF-67) templates under reflux in a mixture water/ethanol. formation process HNB structures characterized...
Abstract Nonequilibrium atomic structures can host exotic and technologically relevant properties in otherwise conventional materials. Oxygen octahedral rotation forms a fundamental distortion perovskite oxides, but only few patterns are predominantly present at equilibrium. This has restricted the range of possible functions necessitating utilization nonequilibrium rotation. Here, we report that designed metastable pattern leads to robust room-temperature ferroelectricity CaTiO 3 , which is...
