A simple and efficient coating method of silver nanowires with uniform shells TiO2 has been established using 2-mercaptoethanol monolayers. The thickness the titania layer can be controlled by changing concentration precursor solution. In situ TEM thermal annealing studies showed that nanowire core remains intact until temperatures 750 °C, which is significantly higher than melting temperature bare nanowires. After this temperature, Ag were melted subsequently vaporized, leaving nanotubes....

Abstract Highly efficient, nonprecious and stable electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are absolutely crucial renewable energy conversion, yet design of such catalysts remains to be a long arduous task. Herein, cobalt phosphide (CoP) nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in hierarchical N‐doped carbon nanotube frameworks (CoP‐HNCs) have been synthesized by controlled phosphidation NPs (Co‐HNCs). Abstract Nonequilibrium atomic structures can host exotic and technologically relevant properties in otherwise conventional materials. Oxygen octahedral rotation forms a fundamental distortion perovskite oxides, but only few patterns are predominantly present at equilibrium. This has restricted the range of possible functions necessitating utilization nonequilibrium rotation. Here, we report that designed metastable pattern leads to robust room-temperature ferroelectricity CaTiO 3 , which is...
