Soils derived from ultramafic rocks have a mineralogy rich in metals like Co, Cr, Fe and Ni, the process of extracting these soil generates highly metallic waste. When disposed near water bodies residues pose risk on aquatic environment. Two fish species are used ecotoxicity tests worldwide: Danio rerio (zebrafish), an Asian species, Oreochromis niloticus (tilapia), African one. However, Hyphessobrycon eques (mato grosso), native South America found Brazilian rivers, is as yet little tests....

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanisms Al tolerance in wheat varieties by direct observation distribution root cells using hematoxylin stain method.Five-day-old seedlings Al-tolerant varieties, Atlas 66 and Shirosanjyaku, an Alsensitive variety, Chikushikomugi, were treated with 150 PM 0.4 mM CaCl,, pH 4.5 for 24 hours under aseptic conditions; afterwards roots stained hematoxylin.Comparison tips among showed that cap intensively, reflecting high accumulation region.The...

Abstract Purposes To analyze the main edaphic factors that differentiate ultramafic from typical Cerrado environments and act as agents of development biochemical morphological mechanisms species adaptation to these harsh environments; determine genetic diversity three Cerrad o’s shrubland native ( Justicia lanstyakii , Euploca salicoides Oxalis hirsutissima ). Methods We conducted chemical analysis metal contents in soils, well on elemental composition, DNA extracted leaf tissues found both...
