The upper Ediacaran Miaohe Member (∼551 Ma) in South China contains exceptionally preserved macroscopic carbonaceous compression fossils that provide a crucial view of the marine ecosystem shortly before Cambrian explosion. However, these were previously known only from one locality near Village on northern bank Yangtze River. It was puzzling equivalent strata short distance away contained no fossils, raising questions about environmental, ecological and taphonomic restriction fossils. Here,...

Abstract The triangular Songpan‐Ganzi complex (SGC), the largest turbiditic basin in Tibetan Plateau, is a key area for understanding source‐to‐sink process of trapped during closure paleo‐ocean. However, diversity age spectra detrital zircons this was generally neglected previous study, resulting hot debates on provenance and tectonic setting SGC. Rather than local homogeneity (e.g., depocenters) as previously suggested, at least four categories with different peak associations over whole...

InSAR has the advantages of wide spatial coverage, high resolution and high precision, but it can only measure one-dimensional surface displacements in line-of-sight(LOS).While GPS monitor three-dimensional displacements,it is generally with very low resolution. In this paper, the method combining to studied.Firstly,it proved that a local optimization sufficient achieve global solutions objective function model, which used optimize integration. Then BFGS introduced study estimate optimal value...

Abstract Methane-derived carbonates (MDCs) are common along modern and ancient continental margins, the majority of such formations associated with seafloor cold seeps. Here, we document petrographic, rare earth element + yttrium (REE Y), carbonate clumped isotope temperature (TΔ47), carbon-isotopic evidence from a shale succession in southern Tibet spanning ~28 m.y. interval (ca. 113–85 Ma) that coincided mid-Cretaceous greenhouse event. At least nine limestone nodule-bearing horizons...
