The aim of this paper is to analyze theoretically and experimentally the stator current a three-phase squirrel-cage induction machine in order show how it influenced by electrical rotor faults. approach used for study analyzes modification introduced n broken bars cage magnetomotive force then estimates resulting frequency spectrum current. This validated 3-kW 230-V/400-V 50-Hz 2850-r/min two-pole machine, showing sensitive components fault condition.
This paper compares the prediction of two independent methods for calculating electromagnetic torque and inductances a synchronous reluctance machine under linear condition. One method is based on winding function analysis (WFA) other finite-element (FEA). Both take into account rotor geometry, stator slot effects connections. The simulation results obtained by WFA are compared with ones two-dimensional FEA. It shown that give approximately same but require different computation times.
