The ($n,\ensuremath{\gamma}$) cross section of $^{197}\mathrm{Au}$ has been measured at n_TOF in the resolved resonance region, up to 5 keV, with aim improving accuracy an energy range where it is not yet considered standard. measurements were performed two different experimental setup and detection techniques, total method based on ${\mathrm{C}}_{6}$${\mathrm{D}}_{6}$ detectors, absorption calorimetry a 4$\ensuremath{\pi}$ BaF${}_{2}$ array. By comparing data collected accurate sets...
The transverse flow and relative midrapidity yield of isotopically identified light charged particles (LCPs) has been examined for the 35 MeV/nucleon ${}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}$, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}$, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}$ systems. A large enhancement LCPs was observed to near projectile rapidity. In particular, this increased more neutron-rich demonstrating a preference production fragments in region. Additionally, extracted, which provides...
The transverse flow of intermediate mass fragments (IMFs) has been investigated for the 35 MeV/u ${}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}$, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}$, and ${}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}$ systems. A transition from IMF strongly depending on system, in most violent collisions, to a dependence charge peripheral reactions, is shown. This was shown be sensitive density symmetry energy using antisymmetrized molecular-dynamics model. results present an...
Methods of extraction the symmetry energy (or enthalpy) coefficient to temperature ratio from isobaric and isotopic yields fragments produced in Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions are discussed. We show that methods consistent when hot fragmenting source is well characterized its excitation composition properly taken into account. The results independent mass number detected fragments, which suggests their fate decided very early reaction.
The cross section of the ${}^{88}\mathrm{Sr}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma}{)}^{89}\mathrm{Y}$ reaction was determined by in-beam measurements at energies ${E}_{p}=1.4--5\mathrm{MeV}$ relevant to nucleosynthetic p process. At ${E}_{p}>~3.5\mathrm{MeV},$ \ensuremath{\gamma} angular distributions were obtained using one HPGe detector 80% relative efficiency, whereas ${E}_{p}<~3.5\mathrm{MeV}$ they measured means an array four detectors all shielded with BGO crystals for Compton background supression....
In heavy-ion collisions, isoscaling provides a method for studying the evolution of nuclear symmetry energy as function excitation energy. One challenge in using is to accurately determine neutron-to-proton ratio ($N/Z$) fragmenting source. Isoscaling results are presented reactions $^{86,78}\mathrm{Kr}+^{64,58}\mathrm{Ni}$ at 35 MeV/nucleon taken on NIMROD-ISiS array Texas A University. The $N/Z$ source was calculated from isotopically identified fragments and experimentally measured...
The NIMROD-ISiS array was used to study the transverse flow of intermediate mass fragments in 35 MeV/nucleon ${}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}$, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}$, and ${}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}+{}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}$ reactions. fragment previously shown be sensitive density dependence symmetry energy. To explore model results, antisymmetrized molecular dynamics, constrained stochastic mean-field models were each compared experimental results extract information on form...
The isoscaling of heavy projectile residues from peripheral heavy-ion reactions at 15--25 MeV/nucleon is employed to obtain information on the process $N/Z$ equilibration. Recent mass spectrometric data $^{86}\mathrm{Kr}$ (15 MeV/nucleon) with $^{64,58}\mathrm{Ni}$ and $^{124,112}\mathrm{Sn}$ were first analyzed. isotopically resolved yield distributions fragments in range $Z=26--39$ for analysis. ratios ${R}_{21}(N,Z)$ each pair systems exhibit (i.e., an exponential dependence fragment...
As a continuation of systematic study reactions relevant to the astrophysical $p$ process, cross sections $^{74,76}\mathrm{Se}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma})\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}^{75,77}\mathrm{Br}$ and $^{82}\mathrm{Se}(p,n)\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}^{82}\mathrm{Br}$ have been measured at energies from 1.3 $3.6\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\text{MeV}$ using an activation technique. The results are compared predictions Hauser-Feshbach statistical model calculations NON-SMOKER MOST codes....
The production cross sections of projectilelike fragments from the interaction 15 MeV/nucleon ${}^{86}$Kr with ${}^{64}$Ni and ${}^{58}$Ni ${}^{124}$Sn ${}^{112}$Sn were measured using a magnetic separator emphasis on neutron-rich isotopes. Neutron pickup isotopes (with up to six neutrons picked target) observed large sections. Correlations of midrapidity light charged particles (LCPs) and intermediate mass fragments (IMFs) with projectile-like (PLFs) have been examined from the 35 MeV/u ${}^{70}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{70}$Zn, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Zn}+{}^{64}$Zn, ${}^{64}\mathrm{Ni}+{}^{64}$Ni reaction systems. A new method was developed to examine flow respect PLF. The invariant PLF-scaled allowed for dynamics $Z=1--4$ be studied. Strong differences in were observed between different isotopes. In particular, most $n$-rich LCPs...
Peripheral collisions of $^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$ and $^{48}\mathrm{Ca}$ projectiles at 32 MeV/nucleon on $^{112}\mathrm{Sn}$ $^{124}\mathrm{Sn}$ targets were studied in this work.
