A recent outbreak of Nipah virus (NiV) in India has caused 17 deaths among people living districts Kerala state. Its zoonotic nature as well high rate human-to-human transmission led researchers worldwide to work for understanding the different aspects NiV. We performed a codon usage analysis based on publicly available nucleotide sequences NiV and its host adaptation along with other members genus Henipavirus ten hosts. genome encodes nine open reading frames; overall, no significant bias...
Humanity has seen numerous pandemics during its course of evolution. The list includes several incidents from the past, such as measles, Ebola, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and Middle East (MERS), etc. latest edition to this is coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by novel coronavirus, 2 (SARS-CoV-2). As August 18, 2020, COVID-19 affected over 21 million people 180 + countries with 0.7 deaths across globe. Genomic technologies have enabled us understand genomic...
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are well-known key regulators of gene expression primarily at the post-transcriptional level. Plant-derived miRNAs may pass through gastrointestinal tract, entering into body fluid and regulate endogenous mRNAs. Camptotheca acuminata, a highly important medicinal plant known for its anti-cancer potential was selected to investigate cross-kingdom regulatory mechanism involvement derived from this in cancer-associated pathways silico systems biology approach. In study, total...
M. leprae adapts to the host cell environment and disrupts protein-protein interactions inside for its own survival proliferation. This study is attempts comprehend these host-pathogen at systems level. We utilised RNA-Seq data set of leprosy-resistant leprosy-susceptible armadillos investi-gated how five different human signaling pathways get hijacked by leprae. also identified corresponding homolog proteins. By applying graph theory on protein networks, we predicted 25 proteins which play...
Abstract Leprosy, caused by Mycobacterium leprae and lepromatosis, remains a significant global health issue despite tremendous decline in its worldwide prevalence the last four decades. strains possess very limited genetic variability, making it difficult to distinguish them using traditional genotyping tools. Successful genome sequencing of considerable number M. recent past has allowed development improved tools for molecular epidemiology leprosy. Comparative genomics identified distinct...
Abstract Background Lymphatic filariasis is a neglected tropical disease caused by infections from Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi or timori. These are spread mosquito species such as Culex, Anopheles, Aedes and Mansonia. With >50 million cases in 44 countries, it the most important parasitic next to malaria. India initiated mass drug administration (MDA) program 2004 gradual reduction was seen cases; however, few pockets continue record new cases. We conducted this study Datia...

Abstract Humanity has seen numerous pandemics during its course of evolution. The list includes many such as measles, Ebola, SARS, MERS, etc. Latest edition to this pandemic is COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2. As 4th July 2020, COVID-19 affected over 10 million people from 170+ countries, and 5,28,364 deaths. Genomic technologies have enabled us understand genomic constitution pathogens, their virulence, evolution, rate mutations, To date, more than 60,000 virus genomes...
Leprosy, an ancient disease, continues to be a public health concern as it remains endemic in several countries. After reaching the elimination target (1/10,000) problem 2005 India, around 1.2 lakh cases have been detected every year over last decade indicating active transmission of leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), genomic insertions/deletions and variable-number tandem repeats (VNTRs) identified genetic markers for tracking M. leprae...
Since the first reported case of COVID-19 in December 2019, several SARS-CoV-2 variants has evolved and some them have shown higher transmissibility becoming prevalent strains. Genomic epidemiological investigations into strains from different time points including early stages pandemic are very crucial for understanding evolution transmission patterns. Using whole genome sequences, our study describes landscape central India retrospectively (including known occurrence Madhya Pradesh). We...
Leptospirosis is a potentially fatal zoo-anthroponosis caused by pathogenic species of Leptospira belonging to the family Leptospiraceae, with worldwide distribution and effect, in terms its burden risk human health. The 'LeptoDB' single window dedicated architecture (5 948 311 entries), modeled using heterogeneous data as core resource for global species. LeptoDB facilitates well-structured knowledge genomics, proteomics therapeutic aspects more than 500 assemblies including 17 complete 496...
Different human races across the globe responded in a different way to SARS-CoV-2 infection leading disease severity. Therefore, it is anticipated that host genetic factors have straight association with COVID-19. We identified total 6, 7, and 6 genomic loci for deceased-recovered, asymptomatic-recovered, deceased-asymptomatic group comparison, respectively. Unfavourable alleles of markers nearby genes which are associated lung heart diseases such as Tumor necrosis factor superfamily...
Chromosomal translocations that results in formation and activation of fusion oncogenes are observed numerous solid malignancies since years back. Expression kinases these cancers drives the initiation & progression ultimately leads to tumour development thus comes out be clinically imperative terms diagnosis treatment cancer. Nonetheless, molecular mechanisms beneath remained unexplored consequently limiting our knowledge carcinogenesis hence is current field where further research...

This is the first report of genetic diversity Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex isolates found in a Mexican-Amerindian setting. In this study, we analyzed collected from Highlands region Chiapas, Mexico, by using spoligotyping and whole-genome sequencing analyses. Seventy-three M. were initially spoligotyping; no new spoligotypes identified. Nineteen percent identified as SIT53 (T1) (n = 14), followed SIT42 (14%, n 10, LAM9) SIT119 (11%; 8, X1). SIT53, SIT42, orphan (16.4%, 12) constituted...
Background: COVID-19 has become a global threat. Since its first outbreak from Wuhan, China in December 2019, the SARS-CoV-2 virus gone through structural changes arising due to mutations surface glycoprotein. These have led emergence of different genetic variants threatening public health increased transmission and virulence. As new drug development is long process, repurposing existing antiviral drugs with potential activity against might be possible solution mitigate current situation....
