Cannabis sativa L. is an important economic plant for the production of food, fiber, oils, and intoxicants. However, lack sufficient simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers has limited development cannabis genetic research. Here, large-scale expressed tag (EST-SSR) was performed to obtain more informative markers, assess diversity in (Cannabis L.). Based on transcriptome, 4,577 SSRs were identified from 3,624 ESTs. From there, a total 3,442 complementary primer pairs designed as SSR markers....
Increased consumption of vegetables or plant food has been associated with decreased risk developing major chronic diseases, such as cancers, diabetes, cardiovascular and age-related functional decline. Ramie leaves are rich in phenolics flavonoids, which have suggested for human health benefits. Phenolic contents, flavonoid phenolic compounds, anti-cancer properties six species ramie were analyzed by Folin-reagent method, sodium borohydride/chloranil-based assay (SBC), HPLC method...
Drought is the main environmental factor impairing hemp growth and yield. In order to decipher molecular responses of drought stress, transcriptome changes drought-stressed (DS1 DS2), compared well-watered control (CK1 CK2), were studied with RNA-Seq technology. generated 9.83, 11.30, 11.66, 11.31 M clean reads in CK1, CK2, DS1, DS2 libraries, respectively. A total 1292 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), including 409 (31.66%) upregulated 883 (68.34%) downregulated genes, identified. The...
Abstract Boehmeria tricuspis includes sexually reproducing diploid and apomictic triploid individuals. Previously, we established that B. reproduces through obligate diplospory. To understand the molecular basis of development in , sequenced compared transcriptomic profiles flowers sexual plants at four key developmental stages. A total 283,341 unique transcripts were obtained from 1,463 million high-quality paired-end reads. In total, 18,899 unigenes differentially expressed between...
Plant WRKY genes encode a complex and ancient class of zinc-finger transcription factors that are involved in multiple biological processes, especially regulating defense against abiotic stresses. Despite growing number studies on the genomic organization gene family various species, little information is available about this hemp (Cannabis sativa L.). In study, based genome sequence, 40 (CsWRKY) were classified into three main groups five subgroups according to their orthologs Arabidopsis....
In the present study, 59 polymorphic microsatellite loci of Boehmeria tricuspis (Hance) Makino were developed from specific length amplified fragment sequencing data library genome. The number alleles per locus ranged two to five, and observed expected heterozygosities 0.0000 1.0000 0.0769 0.6751, respectively.Among loci, 25 displayed significant deviations Hardy-Weinberg expectations (P < 0.05).The simple sequence repeat markers should be useful for studying population genetics in B. Makino,...
AFLP(amplified fragment length polymorphism)was applied to identify markers associated with Cannabis sativa L.sex type. Sixty four pairs of primers the 8 EcoRⅠ-NNN and MseⅠ-NNN combination were used amplify mixed male female DNA pools ten varieties. The primer E-ACT/M-CTA amplified an apparent that was only existed in pool all individuals male-specific 348 bp after recovering, cloning sequencing. None its homologous sequence found GenBank. Therefore, can be as linkage marker sex identification .
