본 연구는 Q 방법을 이용하여 간호대학생이 대인관계 갈등에 대처하는 주관적 유형을 파악하고자 시도되었다. 총 34개의 표본 선정 후 간호대학생 34명을 편의표집하여 P 표본으로 선정하였고, 분류를 통해 수집된 자료는 PC QUANL 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 간호대학생의 갈등 대처 유형은 4개 유형으로 도출되었다. 1유형(원인규명 문제해결형)은 해결을 위해 원인을 분석/파악하며 빠른 도모하였고, 2유형(소극적 회피인내형)은 혼자 속앓이를 하고 상대와 함께하는 상황을 피하며 일방적으로 갈등을 참아내려 하였다. 3유형(적극적 상호해결형)은 상대의 입장에서 이해하고 상대와의 긍정적 상호작용을 시도하였고, 4유형(방관적 일상추구형)은 신경 쓰지 않고 일상에 집중하며 위한 시도를 고려하지 않았다. 향후 능력을 강화하기 전략의 수립과 아울러, 유형별로 능력 강화를 도모하기 효과적인 중재의 개발과 적용이 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.
