There is still no precise knowledge of the causes progression in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), and we are unable to predict at risk.To explore frequency, predictive factors, prognosis early neurological deterioration (END) AIS.In this prospective multicenter observational study, assessed AIS admitted 18 hospitals Henan, China. We defined END as an increase ⩾2 points total National Institutes Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score or ⩾1 point motor items NIHSS within 7 days after...
Carotid atherosclerosis, especially the rupture of unstable plaques, plays an important role in development stroke. A novel lipid ratio, non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C)/high-density (HDL-C) contains both atherogenic and anti-atherogenic particle information, has been shown to be associated with carotid atherosclerosis. However, there is no data on evaluating association between non-HDL-C/HDL-C ratio plaque stability.
Aim: The atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) was significantly related to adverse outcomes in patients with cardiovascular disease. Our aim investigate the association between AIP and acute ischemic stroke. Methods: Patients stroke (AIS) admitted 2015 2018 were prospectively enrolled this study. Functional evaluated by modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Poor defined as mRS 3-6. relationship risk analyzed multivariate logistic regression models. Results: A total 1,463 AIS within 24 h symptom onset...
Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics and related risk factors of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) lesions identified on susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) sequences in patients with recent subcortical small infarct (RSSI). Methods: The lenticulostriate artery territory RSSI admitted to Department Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University from January 2019 December 2022 was retrospectively collected. Demographic information, past medical history, laboratory,...
Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) refers to a common cerebrovascular and white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) constitute typical feature of CSVD. However, there has not been large number studies investigating the relationship between lipid profile components WMHs.Altogether, 1019 patients with CSVD were enrolled at First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University April 2016 December 2021. Baseline data collected for all patients, including demographic characteristics clinical data. WMH...
Background: Single small subcortical infarction (SSSI) is an isolated in the territory of perforating artery with a maximum diameter 20 mm axial diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). About to 30% SSSI patients were reported have early neurological deterioration (END) acute phase which brought adverse effects on long-term outcome. The effect alteplase outcome SSSI, especially END and was ambiguous. Objective: To find out efficacy safety intravenous recombinant tissue Plasminogen Activator(rt-PA)...
A certain number of patients with single subcortical small infarction (SSSI) in the lenticulostriate artery (LSA) territory present early neurological deterioration (END).We sought to identify a more specific predicting imaging marker for END SSSI patients. We screened prospective hospital-based registry stroke first Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University from January 2015 December 2020. Lesion locations were defined as posterior type when than half lesion was located part corona radiata...
Research has linked enlarged perivascular spaces (EPVS) to cerebral venous reflux (CVR) in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, but it is unclear whether this association exists recent small subcortical infarct (RSSI) patients.
Abstract Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is generally considered to be closely related cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD), leading a poor prognosis. However, the coexistence of ICH in general CSVD patients and factors remain underreported. In our cross-sectional study, we screened 414 from database at Department Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University (September 2018 April 2022). Imaging biomarkers coexisting lesion were assessed. Factors associated with determined using...
Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) dysfunction may be involved in the pathogenesis of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease (CSVD). The study aimed to explore relationship between Recent Subcortical Infarct (RSSI) and Blood Pressure Variability (BPV), Heart Rate (HRV).
<h3>BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:</h3> Early neurologic deterioration (END) often occurs during hospitalization in single small subcortical infarction (SSSI). The objective was to identify imaging predictors of END. <h3>MATERIALS METHODS:</h3> SSSIs the lenticulostriate artery within 72 hours stroke onset from January 2015 June 2021 were consecutively enrolled. posteriority and laterality indexes assessed on second section top corona radiata showing lateral ventricle DWI. A multivariate logistic...
Abstract This study investigated the correlation of newly identified inflammatory and insulin resistance indices with cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), explored their potential to differentiate CAA from hypertensive arteriopathy (HA). We retrospectively analyzed 514 consecutive patients small vessel disease (CSVD)-related haemorrhage, comparing differences in novel between HA. Univariate regression, LASSO multivariate regression were used screen variables construct a classification...
Serum fibrinogen/albumin ratio (FAR) is a new inflammatory marker related to variety of diseases, and it has been shown be associated with stroke. This study investigate the relationship between serum FAR early neurological deterioration (END) in patients recent small subcortical infarction (RSSI).
Background: Early neurological deterioration (END) often occurs during hospitalization in single small subcortical infarct (SSSI). While, symptoms on admission were rarely reported about its performance predicting the risk of END. Objectives: The objective this study is to explore relationship between and END SSSI. Methods: Patients with SSSI lenticulostriate artery (LSA) territory presenting within 72 hours stroke onset screened prospectively. Clinical characteristics, including admission,...
<title>Abstract</title> Aim:The goal of this study was to determine whether the stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) is associated with early neurological deterioration (END) and poor outcomes in patients single subcortical infarct (SSI).Methods:This prospectively enrolled SSI admitted between 2015 2021. END defined as an increase ≥ 2 points National Institutes Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or 1 point motor items NIHSS within seven days hospital admission. The modified...
ABSTRACT Background Early neurological deterioration (END) after thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) cannot be ignored. Our aim is to establish an interpretable machine learning (ML) prediction model for clinical practice. Methods Patients this study were enrolled from a prospective, multi-center, web-based registry database. Demographic information, treatment information and laboratory tests collected. END was defined as increase of ⩾2 points total National Institutes Health Stroke...
Abstract Background : Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a common vascular disease associated with small blood vessels, and it not uncommon for individuals cerebral vessel (CSVD) to develop ICH. Studies have shown that the number location of microbleeds (CMBs) are ICH in autosomal dominant arteriopathy subcortical infarcts leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL). However, prevalence its related risk factors recent infarct (RSSI) still unclear. Methods This study included 361 patients complete MRI data....
Objective: To investigate the relationship between plasma heat shock proteins 90α(Hsp90α) levels and white matter hyperintensity(WMH) in patients with cerebral small vessel disease(SVD). Methods: Patients admitted to Department of Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University from March August 2021 diagnosed WMH by magnetic resonance examination (MRI) were selected as case group, matched physical who visited Medical Examination during same period showed no on MRI history...
