A novel triazine-based resin (APP-TRIAZ) has been synthesised for the highly efficient and rapid removal of methyl orange (MO), acid blue 92 (AB92) malachite green (MG) from aqueous solution. The mesoporous APP-TRIAZ displayed excellent adsorptive performance with maximum adsorption capacities (Qmax) 454.96 mg g−1, 329.56 g−1 424.81 MO, AB92 MG, respectively. experimental data were examined by non-linear curve fitting four isotherm models which hinted that Lagergren's pseudo-second-order...
Azoisobutyronitrile-initiated cycloterpolymerization of [(diallylamino)propyl]phosphonic acid hydrochloride (90 mol %), cross-linker 1,1,4,4-tetraallylpiperazinium dichloride (10 and SO2 (100 %) afforded a new pH-responsive cross-linked polyzwitterionic which, upon alkaline treatment, was transformed to dianionic polyelectrolyte (CDAPE). Chelating ion-exchange resin CDAPE tested for the uptake Pb2+ Cu2+ ions; adsorption process followed pseudo-second-order kinetics with respective Ea values...
Abstract Hydrophobically modified water‐soluble block copolymers were prepared by aqueous micellar copolymerization of acrylamide and small amounts (2 3 mol %) a hydrophobe ( N ‐phenethylacrylamide) that is characterized long spacer places the aromatic ring far away from backbone, with objective investigating copolymers' rheological behavior surface interfacial activities under various conditions such as polymer concentration, shear rate, temperature, salinity. As expected, exhibit improved...
Asphaltenes are well known for their problematic characterstics during petroleum refining as dubiously complex structure. In this work, chlorination of various types asphaltenes have been achieved by sulfuryl chloride with and without AIBN initiator, while nitraion reactions amines (aniline, triethylamine, t-butyl amine, piperidine) were accomplished through nitrous acid diazotization process, respectively. The charaterization the products obtained performed FTIR spectroscopy. data regarding...
The cationic monomer, N,N-diallyl-3-(diethylphosphonato)propylammonium chloride, was cyclopolymerized in aqueous solutions using t-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) or ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiators to afford a polyelectrolyte (CPE) having (diethylphosphonato)propyl pendent. CPE on acidic hydrolysis of the diester groups gave pH-responsive polyzwitterionic acid (PZA) which treatment with one and two equivalents NaOH zwitterionic/anionic (ZAPE) dianionic (DAPE), respectively. solution...
The cationic monomer N,N-diallyl-3-(diethylphosphonato)propylammonium chloride was cyclo-copolymerized with sulfur dioxide in dimethylsulfoxide using azoisobutyronitrile as initiator to afford a polyelectrolyte (CPE) having (diethylphosphonato)propyl pendent moiety. CPE on acidic hydrolysis of the diester groups gave pH-responsive polyzwitterionic acid (PZA) which treatment one and two equivalents NaOH zwitterionic/anionic (ZAPE) dianionic (DAPE), respectively. solution properties CPE, PZA,...
A pH-responsive polyzwitterionic acid [PZA)], poly[3-(N,N-diallylammonio)propanephosphonic acid], and an alternate copolymer PZA·SO2, acid-alt-SO2] have been prepared via cypolymerization. Aqueous two phase systems (ATPSs) of polyoxyethylene (POE)–(NaOH-treated PZA or PZA·SO2)–water (NaCl) investigated. To construct the tie lines, compositions phases were determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The addition 1, 1.5, 2 equiv NaOH transform (±) zwitterionic polymers to their corresponding (±−)...
Abstract Cyclopolymerization, initiated by t‐butylhydroperoxide, of an aqueous solution N ‐(3‐phosphonopropyl)diallylammonium hydrochloride and cross‐linker tetraallylpiperazinium dichloride in 9:1 mol ratio, led to a pH‐responsive cross‐linked resin (80% yield). The showed exceptional efficiency for entrapping toxic metal ions from systems. Using Langmuir adsorption isotherm, the respective maximum uptake ( Q m ) Pb 2+ Cu was determined be 7.18 6.76 mmol g −1 . very impressive performance...
