Abstract We present production of silicon nano‐particles and their surface nitridation for efficient multiple‐exciton generation. Nitridated were produced using double multi‐hollow discharge plasma CVD, where generation particles independently performed SiH 4 /H 2 N plasmas. succeeded in controlling nitrogen content a nano‐particle by varying number density radicals irradiated to the Si particle. also observed strong photoluminescence (PL) emission around 300‐500 nm from nano‐particles, PL...

Abstract Hybrid weakness is a reproductive barrier. In rice, the hybrid caused by two complementary genes–– HWC1 and HWC2 ––has been surveyed extensively. However, their gene products molecular mechanism that causes have remained unknown. We first performed fine mapping of , narrowing down area interest to 19 kb. thereby identified five candidate genes. Second, we haplotype analysis around locus 33 cultivars. With 15 DNA markers examined, all 13 Hwc2 - 1 carriers share same for consecutive...

We developed Si quantum-dot (QD) sensitized solar cells using nitridated nanoparticle films. The Si/N content ratio of the films was combinatorially controlled in double multi-hollow discharge plasma chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process a SiH4/H2 and N2 gas mixture. short-circuit current density QD increases by factor 1.3 with nitridation nanoparticles, high photon-to-current conversion efficiency 40% achieved at short wavelength 350 nm.

MANY POSTZYGOTIC REPRODUCTIVE BARRIER FORMS HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN PLANTS: hybrid weakness, necrosis, and chlorosis. In this study, linkage analysis of the genes causing chlorosis in F(2) generation rice, HCA1 HCA2, was performed. HCA2 are located respectively on distal regions short arms chromosomes 12 11. These known to be highly conserved as a duplicated chromosomal segment. The molecular mechanism deduced from location two discussed. possibility introgression segments encompassing and/or...

Two extremely late heading mutants were induced by ion beam irradiation in rice cultivar 'Taichung 65': KGM26 and KGM27. The F2 populations from the cross between two Taichung 65 showed clear 3 early: 1 segregation, suggesting control of a recessive gene. genes identified KGM27 respectively designated as FLT1 FLT2. mapped using crosses an Indica 'Kasalath'. was located on distal end short arm chromosome 8. Quantum dots (QDs) based on multiple exciton generation have attracted much attention. They are capable of generating electrons by single-photon absorption. Si is one the good QD sources and its nontoxicity abundance advantageous for photovoltaics. In this work, QDs were fabricated multihollow discharge plasma chemical vapor deposition, they applied to QD-sensitized solar cells. Their initial performance was poor because weak adhesion charge recombination. we solved these problems through...
