Abstract We designed and prepared the imidazoline‐2‐thione containing OCl − probes, PIS NIS , which operate through specific reactions with that yield corresponding fluorescent imidazolium ions. Importantly, we demonstrated can be employed to image generation in macrophages a co‐culture system. have also two‐photon microscopy live cells tissues, indicating this probe could wide biological applications.

We reported a ratiometric two-photon fluorescent probe (SG1) for β-galactosidase (β-gal) and its application to quantitative detection of β-gal activity during cellular senescence in live cells aged tissues. This is characterized by significant excited fluorescence, marked blue-to-yellow emission color change response β-gal, easy loading, insensitivity pH reactive oxygen species (ROS), high photostability, low cytotoxicity. In addition, we show that SG1 labeling an effective tool...

Lipid droplets (LDs) are lipid-abundant organelles found in most cell lines and primarily consist of neutral lipids. They serve as a repository various lipids associated with many cellular metabolic processes, including energy storage, membrane synthesis, protein homeostasis. LDs prominent variety diseases related to lipid regulation, obesity, fatty liver disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis. To monitor LD dynamics live samples, we developed highly selective two-photon fluorescent tracker for...

The occurrence of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (cyanoHABs) is related to their physical and chemical environment. However, less known about associated microbial interactions processes. In this study, cyanoHABs were analyzed as a ecosystem, using 1 year 16S rRNA sequencing 70 metagenomes collected during the bloom season from Lake Okeechobee (Florida, USA). Biogeographical patterns observed in community composition function reflected ecological zones distinct parameters that resulted...
