This study investigates the mechanical reinforcement of chitosan with TiO2 and Ag nanoparticles, as well their water vapour transmission rates resistance behaviour. The properties were improved by addition or Ag, significant increases in Young’s modulus (from 25 MPa to ~300 MPa), tensile strength 6 18–35 MPa) toughness 1.3 J g−1 7–8 g−1). (368–413 g m−2 d−1) found be similar for both materials. Inclusion reduced 823% 1,000%), while inclusion yielded improvement 100%).

In this work, the effect of calcium chloride (CaCl2) at different concentrations and immersion duration on physical mechanical properties sodium alginate (SA) films was examined. The results show that swelling SA were decreased upon immersed in longer CaCl2 due to improved crosslink between carboxyl group (-COOH) ion (Ca2+) CaCl2. contrast, gel fractions increased immersions. performances film 0.8 M for 8 minutes exhibited highest tensile stress, strain Young's modulus 3.92 ± 0.3 MPa, 21.08...

Transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS) have drawn more interest from pharmaceutical scientists because they could provide steady blood levels and prevent the first-pass metabolism over a longer period. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) has been widely used in this application due to its biocompatibility, non-toxicity, nanofiber hydrogel-forming ability. Despite those benefits, their morphology would easily be destroyed by continuous water absorption contribute burst release hydrophilicity. The aim...
