Erythema dyschromicum perstans (EDP) is an acquired hyperpigmentation disorder characterized by asymptomatic, polycyclic, irregularly shaped light lilac-grey patches surrounded erythematous borders in the early inflammatory stage and subsequently greyish-blue later ashy stage. Affected areas include trunk, neck, face, upper extremities.
