This report presents a short summary of the activities "Standard Model" working group for "Physics at TeV Colliders" workshop (Les Houches, France, 12-30 June, 2023).
Abstract A study has been performed to understand the effects of radiation damage on various plastic scintillator tiles considered for a possible upgrade hadron calorimeter CMS detector. Measurements were made with unirradiated and that had irradiated in collision hall dose 44 kGy. Results are presented different shapes terms energy spectrum, efficiency as function position at which each tile was hit, well light yield. All showed reduction up about 50%. The shape currently used detector did...
We present measurements of the reduction light output by plastic scintillators irradiated in CMS detector during 8 TeV run Large Hadron Collider and show that they indicate a strong dose rate effect. The damage for given is larger lower exposures. results agree with previous effects, but are stronger due to very low rates probed. scaling consistent expected from diffusion effects.
This review describes the overall development on synthetic receptors built pyridinium motif with different functionalities at 3-position in anion recognition.
The proliferation of sensors brings an immense volume spatio-temporal (ST) data in many domains for various purposes, including monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostics applications. Data curation is a time-consuming process large data, making it challenging expensive to deploy analytics platforms new environments. Transfer learning (TL) mechanisms promise mitigate sparsity model complexity by utilizing pre-trained models task. Despite the triumph TL fields like computer vision natural...
The worrisome increase in hate speech Bangladesh, driven by the rapidly expanding social media user base, has adversely affected cybersecurity and online safety. Most detection technologies overlook less commonly spoken languages, such as Bangla, favour of more widely used ones. This project aims to address gap identifying Bangla through utilisation sophisticated word embedding techniques (Word2Vec, GloVe, FastText) machine learning algorithms (Multinomial Naive Bayes, Random Forest,...
Quantum dot-based single spin qubit systems are resilient towards charge noise and primarily affected by the due to magnetic interactions. Qubit interaction with environment causes relaxation decoherence of their quantum states. Hyperfine nuclei surrounding electron phononic spin-orbit dominant mechanisms through which GaAs-based dot (QD) qubits undergo decoherence. The external control parameters i.e. static ac fields directly related This limits range values these for gate operations can...
We study the light output, collection efficiency and signal timing of a variety organic scintillators that are being considered for upgrade hadronic calorimeter CMS detector. The experimental data collected at H2 test-beam area CERN, using 150 GeV muon beam. In particular, we investigate usage over-doped green-emitting plastic scintillators, two solutions have not been extensively considered. present energy distribution in plastic-scintillator tiles, hit as function position, blue green...
Production of quarks and gluons in hadron collisions tests Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) over a wide range energy. Models QCD are implemented event generators to simulate evolution into jets hadrons. pythia8 uses the parton shower model for simulating particle is optimized using experimental observations. Recent measurements shape variables jet cross-sections [Formula: see text] at TeV Large Hadron Collider have been used optimize as PYTHIA8.
The Phase I upgrade of the CMS Hadron Endcap Calorimeters consists new photodetectors (Silicon Photomultipliers in place Hybrid Photo-Diodes) and front-end electronics. will eliminate noise calibration drift Photo-Diodes enable mitigation radiation damage scintillators wavelength shifting fibers with a larger spectral acceptance Silicon Photomultipliers. also includes increased longitudinal segmentation calorimeter readout, which allows pile-up recalibration due to depth-dependent damage. As...

We present measurements of differential jet cross sections over a wide range in transverse momenta from inclusive jets to multi-jet final states. Studies on the impact that these have determination strong coupling $\alpha_{s}$ as well parton density functions are reported.
We establish a notion of random entropy solution for degenerate fractional conservation laws incorporating randomness in the initial data, convective flux and diffusive flux. In order to quantify uncertainty, we design multi-level Monte Carlo Finite Difference Method (MLMC-FDM) approximate ensemble average solutions. Furthermore, analyze convergence rates MLMC-FDM compare it with deterministic case. Additionally, formulate error vs. work estimates estimator. Finally, present several...
Quantum dot-based spin qubits are resilient towards charge noise and affected by magnetic only. However, environmental interaction leads to decoherence in these qubit systems. The external control parameters directly related the magnitude of decoherence. This turn limits range values those for which operations can be done with high fidelity. In this work, using a model quantum dot system, we investigate impact varying ac fields on suppression We report an increment usable static field value...
Understanding the production of quarks and gluons in high energy collisions their evolution is a very active area investigation. Monte carlo event generator PYTHIA8 uses parton shower model to simulate such optimized using experimental observations. Recent measurements shape variables differential jet cross-sections pp at $\surd{s} = 13\, TeV$ Large Hadron Collider have been used investigate further as PYTHIA8.
