Copper-doped hydrogenated amorphous carbon (Cu-doped a-C:H) films were synthesized using copper as the cathode and C2H2 precursor. The result shows that negative bias voltage can affect composition microstructure of nanocomposite films. With increasing, Cu content first increases in range 50~300 V then declines with higher voltage, while deposition rate decreases continuously. stress sp3 present a similar trend increasing during from 50 to 200 decreasing voltage.
