We demonstrate by magneto-transport measurements that a Curie temperature as high 200 K can be obtained in nanostructures of (Ga,Mn)As. Heavily Mn-doped (Ga,Mn)As films were patterned into nanowires and then subject to low-temperature annealing. Resistance Hall effect demonstrated consistent increase T(C) with decreasing wire width down about 300 nm. This observation is attributed primarily the free surface narrower wires, which allows Mn interstitials diffuse out at sidewalls, thus...

In magnetically ordered systems the Heisenberg exchange interaction between neighboring spins favors collinear alignment such as that seen in ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. The inclusion of antisymmetric exchange, also known Dzyaloshinskii--Moriya (DMI), promotes an orthogonal arrangement is subject this review. DMI responsible for chiral magnetism, spin-textured skyrmions, magnetoelectric effects multiferroic materials. review, organized by measurement method, focused on experiments...

Abstract Membrane‐assisted direct seawater splitting (DSS) technologies are actively studied as a promising route to produce green hydrogen (H 2 ), whereas the indispensable use of supporting electrolytes that help extract water and provide electrochemically‐accelerated reaction media results in severe energy penalty, consuming up 12.5 % input when using typical KOH electrolyte. We bypass this issue by designing zero‐gap electrolyzer configuration based on integration cation exchange...

Abstract Direct seawater electrolysis is key for achieving sustainable green‐hydrogen production and transitioning toward a decarbonized energy system. However, its performance limited by significant challenges, mainly catalyst instability, which caused excessive reconstruction, low catalytic activity, aggressive chlorine‐corrosion. Herein, high‐electronegativity F introduced into NiFe layered double‐hydroxide (F‐NiFe‐LDH) through fluorination engineering to induce electron‐deficient regions...

We report the low-temperature magnetotransport behaviors of (Ga,Mn)As films with nominal Mn concentration x larger than 10%. The ferromagnetic transition temperature TC can be enhanced to 191 K after postgrowth annealing x=20%. Tm, corresponding resistivity minimum in curve versus at below TC, depends on concentration, condition, and magnetic field. Moreover, we find that variable-range hopping may main conductive mechanism when is lower Tm.

Abstract Direct seawater splitting (DSS) offers an aspirational route toward green hydrogen (H 2 ) production but remains challenging when operating in a practically continuous manner, mainly due to the difficulty establishing water supply–consumption balance under interference from impurity ions. A DSS system is reported for ampere‐level H by coupling dual‐cation exchange membrane (CEM) three‐compartment architecture with circulatory electrolyte design. Monovalent‐selective CEMs decouple...

Mild photothermal therapy (PTT) is a spatiotemporally controllable method that utilizes the effect at relatively low temperatures (40-45 °C) to especially eliminate tumor tissues with negligible side effects on surrounding normal tissues. However, overexpression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) and limited single treatment drastically impede therapeutic efficacy. Herein, constructed multifunctional core-shell structured Ag-Cu@SiO

Abstract Interfacial spin-orbit torques (SOTs) enable the manipulation of magnetization through in-plane charge currents, which has drawn increasing attention for spintronic applications. The search material systems providing efficient SOTs, been focused on polycrystalline ferromagnetic metal/non-magnetic metal bilayers. In these systems, currents flowing in non-magnetic layer generate—due to strong spin–orbit interaction—spin via spin Hall effect and induce a torque at interface...
