The magnetization of thin films cobalt ferrite frequently falls far below the bulk value 455 kAm-1, which corresponds to an inverse cation distribution in spinel structure with a significant orbital moment about 0.6 muB that is associated octahedrally-coordinated Co2+ ions. responsible for magnetostriction and magnetocrystalline anisotropy, its sensitivity imposed strain. We have systematically investigated magnetism produced by pulsed-laser deposition on different substrates (TiO2, MgO,...

The authors have investigated the dispersion of magnetic excitations in thin films antiferromagnetic NiO using resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) at ${L}_{3}$ edge nickel. They demonstrate here that, thanks to recent improvements energy resolution and geometry, soft RIXS is a valid complement neutron this field because it allows clear identification spin-wave peaks not only bulk crystals but also heterostructures too small for studies. Moreover, measured along three high-symmetry...

Porous organosilicate glass thin films, with k-value 2.0, were exposed to 147 nm vacuum ultra-violet (VUV) photons emitted in a Xenon capacitive coupled plasma discharge. Strong methyl bond depletion was observed, concomitant significant increase of the bulk dielectric constant. This indicates that, besides reactive radical diffusion, during processing do impede properties and therefore need be tackled appropriately patterning integration. The detrimental effect VUV irradiation can partly...

Abstract Considerable attention has been drawn to the lead halide perovskites (LHPs) because of their outstanding optoelectronic characteristics. LHP nanosheets (NSs) grown from single crystalline possess advantages in device applications as they provide possibility for control over morphology, composition, and crystallinity. Here, free-standing bromide (PbBr 2 ) single-crystalline NSs with sizes up one centimeter are synthesized solution. These can be converted while maintaining NS...

The magnetism of different polar and nonpolar cuts single-crystal oxide substrates has been analysed. In addition to their intrinsic diamagnetism, some crystals exhibit a Curie-law susceptibility, which is associated with 3d impurities at the 1 ppm level, except for MgO where it ~30 ppm. This work reports the successful fabrication of an all-oxide heteroepitaxial structure with a bilayer tunnel junction consisting ferroelectric and ferrimagnetic layers. Each layer exhibits high crystallinity well-defined interfaces. The transport properties are found to be well described by characteristics asymmetric junction.
